Kazkal
Gleaned from Bengals.com also didn't woek. The Bengals don't classify players as doubtful, questionable or probable until Friday and Whitworth and Lewis refused to rule him out.Does Hobson not use spellchecker? I know I don't have room to talk, but his job is to write articles think he would at least go over it with spellchecker.

princeton
Bears fans were expecting the team to draft Eifert. It'd kill them to watch Eifert have a huge game. let it be so
ArmyBengal
I remember my buddy (who's a Bears fan) saying how he hoped they would draft Eifert as well. While I would be happy as hell seeing him have that big game, I will take any player having a big game that results in a "W" !!! HoosierCat
Been listening to the local sports yakkers up here a bit this week. Of course, everyone is predicting the Bears will win (no big surprise) but there isn't much confidence in the O at this point because they didn't show much in preseason, so there's not a lot to base judgements on. There is a sort of anti-Dalton-esque question floating around: where Bengals fans believe that Dalton can execute a WCO-style short passing game, they doubt his arm downfield. Here in Chicagoland, everyone thinks Cutler's strength is his downfield passing game and don't know if he can execute Trestman's WCO-style O. Maybe we should switch QBs? :)/>Loads of concern about the Bengals defensive line and whether Chicago's rebuilt o-line can stand up to them. ArmyBengal
Loads of concern about the Bengals defensive line and whether Chicago's rebuilt o-line can stand up to them.I imagine many teams are wondering the same thing about their own o-line when going up against our front seven.I really see that as the difference in the game this weekend and why the Bengals win.I just don't see Cutler getting into a good pace and we all know he doesn't handle pressure well. HoosierCat
Fascinating. Reedy today:Joe Reedy @joereedy 28mWhitworth again without helmet and jersey #BengalsHobson:Left tackle Andrew Whitworth (knee) went on the field for Friday morning's final workout before the game dressed in his 77 jersey and carrying his helmet after a few weeks of not doing either. One of them is flat-out lying. Why do I think it's not Joe?

HoosierCat
Flat out lying or simply misinformed? Now it's neither as Geoff is claiming that crafty Whitworth outfoxed him... Left tackle Andrew Whitworth (knee) pulled a fast one as he went on the field for Friday morning's final workout before Sunday's opener in Chicago (1 p.m.-Cincinnati's Channel 12) against the Bears. He dressed in his 77 jersey and carried his helmet after a few weeks of not doing either. Then he promptly took off the jersey and went to the side with the rehab group. Who knows what he did after the media window ended, but if he didn't work Friday then that makes it all but official he won't play Sunday, ending the club's longest starting streak at 67 games. COB
Ghee is no longer a football player, he's more like a mascot now. Dude gets hurt, then takes forever to heal.
HoosierCat
I have come to believe that "Ghee" is not actually a person. Instead, it's an acronym: Geoff Hobson's Evil Empire. There are actually just 52 guys on the roster; this 53rd spot is actually funneling money to a hidden island in the Caribbean from which Mike Brown, through his puppet Hobson (aka Darth Mouthpiece) is planning to take over the world. Scottishbengal
i've been trawling (not trolling) on a couple of Bears forums and the Bears fans are of a mindset that although they consider Cincy to be a decent team they'll win and win well on Sunday. Cutler is considered a much better QB than Dalton.Their WR corps is considered much better than the Bengals rosterForte will be putting up Marshall Faulk type statsGeno is our only "real" defensive player otherwise the Bears D is equal/better than Cincy's.If you consider anything less than a Bears win then you're on drugs. Now, I understand homer-ism (and of course we all want our teams to do well and win well), but surely this is pure arrogance from a team that's not in a position to be so arrogant. The Bears are a decent opponent and will be a tough test on the road but I'm now hoping there's a Bronco's-Ravens type scorleine in favour of the Bengals come the final whistle Sunday. f**k 'em and f**k 'em hard !!!!
