Hard Knocks...again

I really like this. We'll be able to see a great deal of our team through the summer and kind of know what to expect out of them this season. All we have now is what's on paper and what we think and hear from the media and so called football experts. With hard knocks, we'll be able to see how the team is preparing, how they're practicing, who’s winning competitions at positions and why, injury updates, who’s practicing and who’s not, etc. I’m exciting about this and glad I have HBO. I almost got rid of it.

I'm mixed on this. It's always fun for a fan to get an inside view of what's going, no matter how slanted the HBO crew decides to make it.

On the other hand, there's a reason only 2 teams were interested. There's a part of me that just wants to see the team put their head down and get to work without any distractions.

Ah well...it didn't seem to have a negative effect on them last time, so here's hoping...

I've always thought the distraction angle was, or at least should be, a nonissue. I mean, it isn't like having cameras around is something unusual. From the minute camp starts there's local media coverage, bloggers taking pics and film from the stands, visits from every national media outlet, league-mandated press avails and, of course, the team's own camera crew filming everything for later review. I guess HK is more invasive but if you are a person who gets thrown off by being in the spotlight, you should probably find some other line of work than the NFL.

Now, if by distraction, you mean the opportunity to create a distraction where none existed before, then I'm with you. HBO needs drama to sell the series and if the Bengals don't provide some they'll create it. That would be annoying.

Maybe this time around Katie has found running an NFL franchise a little easier ??

Lol and I hope Eifert didn't hire the newbie agent that Big Dre had. And with the rookie slotting, pray there won't be a Darrius Hayward-Bey to bump numbers against.

And I want Mr. Eifert to sign before the show airs, cause I'm still trying to grasp MB's congratulatory pep talk to Big Dre after he signed. I don't think I could go thru that again.
