ArmyBengal Posted April 27, 2013 Report Posted April 27, 2013 Something different with the late round picks. We will leave this thread open to discuss all the players available prior to the Bengals making their pick in each of the last 3 rounds.I'm hoping for BPA from this point on.
ArmyBengal Posted April 27, 2013 Author Report Posted April 27, 2013 It does surprise me to see some of these players still on the board at this point.I would just as soon see the Bengals package some picks to move up.There are only so many holes to fill and depth needed.
HoosierCat Posted April 27, 2013 Report Posted April 27, 2013 Lattimore goes to SF. If he can come back from the injury they have the steal of the draft.
membengal Posted April 27, 2013 Report Posted April 27, 2013 That's one of the benefits to them have 10 zillion picks, can take Lattimore a pinch early and in essence red shirt him this year.
Kazkal Posted April 27, 2013 Report Posted April 27, 2013 Okay time to find Oline Depth,Projects & Special Teamers because seems unlikely alot of these picks will even stick to the roster. That's one of the benefits to them have 10 zillion picks, can take Lattimore a pinch early and in essence red shirt him this year.Ya 49ers were sitting pretty with no real holes simply take BPA and improve their Depth.I hate the 49ers so much >.< Yet I love their roster and players >.<
HoosierCat Posted April 27, 2013 Report Posted April 27, 2013 No more worries about Denard Robinson, unless you're Blaine Gabbert.
ArmyBengal Posted April 27, 2013 Author Report Posted April 27, 2013 No more worries about Denard Robinson, unless you're Blaine Gabbert.A first round QB bust throwing to a player who has never played the position.Say it with me:CHAMPIONSHIP !!!
ArmyBengal Posted April 27, 2013 Author Report Posted April 27, 2013 Taking a quick look at who's still on the board:Da'Rick Rogers, WRBacarri Rambo, FSA.J. Klein, MLBMichael Buchanon, DETerry Hawthorne, CBBunch of OT's and QB's as well.
Kazkal Posted April 27, 2013 Report Posted April 27, 2013 Names I'd like to seeZac Dysert QB - He's highest rated QB by alot would make for solid backup I think.Jordan Poyer CB- Already looks good in orange & Black.Baccari Rambo SS-Can Challenge williams for who starts SS,Competition amoung rookies is only better for us.Matt Summers Gavin OG- Someone develop for LGDa'Rick Rogers WRCodi Hamilton WR - just WR Depth on these 3.Brandon Kaufman WR
ArmyBengal Posted April 27, 2013 Author Report Posted April 27, 2013 Teams must really be leery of the problem children in Bacarri Rambo and Da'Rick Rogers.
ArmyBengal Posted April 27, 2013 Author Report Posted April 27, 2013 Late round WR you say the Bengals always take ??How about Aaron Mellette, WR, Elon ??6'3, 217, 4.4 speed with soft hands.
Kazkal Posted April 27, 2013 Report Posted April 27, 2013 Blaine Gabbert seems like he'll get atleast one more year (minus a Tebow trade),Atleast Jaguars did try and get him some help but maybe they just want a crack at next years QB's?PS,Maybe Jets will do a Combo deal Sanchez+Tebow for a 7th round in next years draft ^.^
ArmyBengal Posted April 27, 2013 Author Report Posted April 27, 2013 On a side note, I was just looking things over and saw something:When was the last time that either USC or Ohio State didn't have a player drafted in the first round ??Seriously, I don't know.
ArmyBengal Posted April 27, 2013 Author Report Posted April 27, 2013 Has Tyler Bray been drafted yet?No, but he should be coming off the board soon for sure.I would have no issue with the Bengals taking him if he lasts.
HoosierCat Posted April 27, 2013 Report Posted April 27, 2013 nope. espn was just doing a segment on him.
skyline Posted April 27, 2013 Report Posted April 27, 2013 Honestly, guys, while his arm strength will make you drool, I just don't see Bray doing anything in this league. His inconsistencies on the field were outmatched only by his immaturity. A lot of people will blame Dooley for Tennessee's woes, but his team flat out quit on him and that all started with Bray.
ArmyBengal Posted April 27, 2013 Author Report Posted April 27, 2013 Still others I like ALOT left on the board.
TJJackson Posted April 27, 2013 Report Posted April 27, 2013 Really dislike pretty much all the picks round 3 through 6. GodawfulParticularly not trading up in round 4 to secure Khaseem Greene or Barret Jones, and drafting an OL who can only do 11 reps, which is less than most DBsMem, I will limit it to that - no other rantsHopefully, a kicker (already lost out on Sturgis too) and a corner in 7
Stripes Posted April 27, 2013 Report Posted April 27, 2013 I can understand TJ. The specific prospects we picked up weren't my favorites going into the draft.Still though, after all these years I have learned something important: I know jack s**t about NFL draft prospects. We all do. After these last few years of productive drafting, I trust the Bengals front office more than I could ever trust myself.
TJJackson Posted April 27, 2013 Report Posted April 27, 2013 Hopefully, MLB Kevin Reddick will fall to them deep in 7, to give Rey some competition at the MLB spot. God knows it shouldn't take much to supplant Rey, the worst MLB in the NFL.Other than that, having wasted all picks since round 3, they should pick up a corner with speed in the 4.4 range or better
HoosierCat Posted April 27, 2013 Report Posted April 27, 2013 for those still watching 240 and 251 are the Bengals picks.
