Josh Brown has down a very good job, but his consistency has always been lacking. That is why he was setting at home when the Bengals called. We got a good stretch from him, dont think the misses are not still in his bag of tricks.

Nugent has proven himself in almost every game (minus the Jets playoff game) since he came, when healthy. I'd feel better with Nugent kicking, Brown scares me every time he sits up to kick.

I must have been thinking of the Texans miss, I would have sworn it was Nugent that played against the Jets also. Luckily I relish the fact that I am not perfect. I still have a problem calling a very inconsistent kicker in Brown, CLUTCH. He is the Carlos dunlap of kickers, very good when hot very average when not.

He did miss that one yes, but I don't think that can really be called a serious issue of his yet. Adam Vinatieri has missed 9 field goals in his playoff career.

Shayne had some chronic problem that flared up at almost every opportunity he had to make a big kick. I like what Brown has done for us, don't get me wrong. I can't say I am confident about him as a long-term kicker though. His career hasn't been that good.

I wasn't a fan of the Josh Brown signing as well, but he's proven me wrong.

If anything, I think his success will keep the Bengals from handing out a long term deal to a kicker anytime soon.

I can't say as I would support that move, but when looking at others that need to be wrapped up, a kicker will wait.

Back on the topic of the game this Sunday, I just want to see the Bengals attack the Ravens.

I want to see them approach the game as if the playoffs are on the line.

I want to see them gain additional confidence heading into the playoffs.

You're right. Brown isn't the second coming of Jan Stenurud. I am very confident in Sunday. I want this o-line in sync. It will be a huge confidence builder to get the whol Steeler/Raven thing behind them. I've been getting bashed with it by my non-Bengal fan friends.

Once again, we have no idea who we'll face in the first round of the playoffs but I sure hope it's not the Ravens. Don't want to play them two weeks in a row. However, who ever it is, I hope we come to play and finally get that first playoff win under Lewis watch!!

On another topic and don't get me wrong, I'm very happy/pleased with Dalton. However, I was hoping that the Bengals would have selected Russell Wilson. He's doing pretty good for the Seabirds!! I wouldn't mind seeing the Bengals vs the Seabirds in the Super Bowl. But then I'd also love to see the Bengal play and finally beat the 49ers in the big game too.. Yea I know, I'm getting a head of myself. Just excited!! Who dey!!
