walzav29
They have the same issues. 1 superstar WR and no running game. If teams are daring you to run because of Cover 2 , than you just do it. The fact that the Bengals can never counter anything is mind numbing. I don't see a scenario where Peyton doesn't carve up that secondary.
BengalszoneBilly
Watching last nights Bear/Lions game I was thinking the same thing, you take away these teams primary weapon and they have no counter option. No adjustment. No creativity. Nada.
ArmyBengal
You guys are missing the obvious option and what we've seen for the last 3 weeks:"DIE IN PLACE"
Sea Ray
The Lions moved the ball fine. It was turnovers especially in the red zone that killed 'em. You can't turn the ball over 4 times on the road and win
ArmyBengal
It hurts my head thinking about 1 sh*tty team. Don't have enough time to think of 2.
walzav29
Well I was looking at another comparison as well. Both teams had tremendous stretches of sucking. The jump from not being competitive to fielding a team has happend. The next jump, to become a Balt, Pitt, GB, NYG, or NE seems impossible. There is something, and I have no idea what it is. Something structurally that will prevent these teams from getting there. A practice bubble, scouts, bigger towels I just don't know. I guess hoping for 9-7 is the goal, because they won't compete for Super Bowl.

volcom69
Here's what it is, both teams do not know how to handle success!
ArmyBengal
Here's what it is, both teams do not know how to handle success!I suppose if the Bengals had a coach capable of coaching them to be successful they would understand it better.Probably isn't happening anytime soon. TallCat
The Lions are just cocky as hell. That is the root of their undoing this season beyond their secondary being garbage while Delmas was out. They are complacent and not hungry. People are dropping and fumbling everywhere. Pettigrew fumbled the ball out of bounds on two consecutive receptions for example.
COB
The next jump, to become a Balt, Pitt, GB, NYG, or NE seems impossible. It's not impossible. But there is only one way. Find a really, really, good quarterback. Joe Flacco, Ben Roethlisberger, Aaron Rogers, Eli Manning, and Tom Brady. f**k it, Mike wouldn't know what to do with it if he even had one of those guys. He'd throw them a crappy Christmas party under the bleachers, alienate them, and they'd leave. We're doomed.
HoosierCat
Speaking of the Lions, they signed Brian Robiskie today. Bad teams think alike?
