Possible waiver pickup:

former Bengals CB David Jones was just cut by the Redskins - he was the player we traded to JAX for Reggie Nelson

6 year veteran, 6'0" 196lbs, not injured as far as I know, and familiar with the Zimmer D

I only mention this due to all the questions we have at the CB spot - if he's healthy, even though the veterans we have are generally better players, if they can't play they're of no use other than consuming a roster spot

DeQuin Evans cut, per Reedy. Could make the PS; I wouldn't be surprised given the injuries at DE.

Reedy also tweets they appear to be keeping 7 WR so they will have to go light somewhere else.

Does that mean that Burflict is in trouble?

No, they are cutting Otis Hudson. He'll be signed to the PS if he makes it through waivers.

Robinson, Burfict make the squad. Whalen is the 7th WR.

Iloka also made the team.

Herron cut. No surprise there.

Surprised about Vincent rey over muckleroy

It's all about special teams. If you watched Rey and Burfict on special teams they outplayed Muck. I am bummed about Muck thought he was playing great, maybe they sign him back if Cook goes to IR. Love them keeping Burfict my favorite player.

I like this line up still not sure about 7 WR, but like what I see.

The roster is likely to change more over the weekend as they sort through cuts. Looking at the new depth chart, the o-line is thin; they got 9 OL now and that will almost certainly go down to 8 when Cook gets shelved for part of the year on Tuesday. I would like to see them bring Muck back but they literally have zero backup guards. The 3 backup linemen are two tackles, Collins and Roland, and Faine, a center.

Yeah, the interior of the o-line is crazy thin.

7 WR's for the first time since Marvin has been here and Muck was released ??

Yeah, that surprises me.

Love that Burfict made the roster, it didn't take much to see he was getting it.

His upside with a clear thinking head is crazy high.

Not much surprising when looking at who they released overall.

BRING ON THE 10TH !!!

I have to wonder if there will be a WR on the trading block at all?

Muck let go bothers me I thought he was playing good but Marvin said Burfict out played him. Hope they can bring him back.

I wish they'd stop it with the pointless #3 QB.

They did. Zac Robinson was cut. They're down to two

They released Hudson, Stephens and Muck. Those are a surprise. Muck will get a look by LB-weak across the league. He won't be unemplyed long. Hudson, too. Kind of surprised they kept Cochart so long. He was behind Charles, Lee and of course Gresham.

7 WR may only be temporary. Seems like they might need some help at CB, should Allen/Jones/Hall get nicked up at all. That leaves CB somewhat thin - Clements, Newman and the Rook. Not exactly confidence inspiring.

Until I see BJGE and Scott exceling, I will be very supportive of upgrading Leonard and Peerman (lesser). Probably some good RB's looking for work over the next few days.. gotta grab one up for insurance.

Muck seemed to have a higer ceiling than Skuta... Much higher. Mild surpirse

I predict they grab another waiver DE, too. Evans departing tells me they will be shopping for an upgrade - as Geathers and Dunlap will not begin the season at 100%.

To me, getting an upgrade ar RB and DE are the best possible moves coming.

Who gets cut when Moch comes off suspension? Skuta? Whalen? an extra CB or S?

I really don't think we will see much if anything.

When Cook gets placed on whatever the new IR rule is, I bet they bring back Hudson considering the lack of depth on the interior of the o-line.

If he doesn't go somewhere else that is.
