BengalszoneBilly Posted June 12, 2012 Report Posted June 12, 2012 This series is crucial to keeping a grip on 1st place. So far... not so good. Indians up early 1-0 in the 1st. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted June 13, 2012 Author Report Posted June 13, 2012 My stinkin' brother just called me from Great American Ball Park. He like rubbing in s**t like that. At least the Reds have taken the lead and Baltimore is taking care of Pittsburgh pretty well! Quote
ArmyBengal Posted June 13, 2012 Report Posted June 13, 2012 So since no one has commented on it. The Reds took care of business last night on the back of Cueto and his complete game. It was the second time this season he pitched a complete game without walking a single player. Couple that with the team suffering some sickness and it was really an impressive game from them. With that sickness going around, Latos will get the start tonight and Leake will get bumped to tomorrow. skyline Posted June 13, 2012 Report Posted June 13, 2012 Yes, a solid win was nice to see. Sure hope Latos can follow it up. Here's hoping he can get over his home run bug... Quote
ArmyBengal Posted June 13, 2012 Report Posted June 13, 2012 Here's hoping he can get over his home run bug...Indeed.It's like the say, at GABP you can miss inside or outside, but if you miss over the middle of the plate a good hitter will make you pay. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted June 14, 2012 Report Posted June 14, 2012 And the Reds get another win tonight 5-3.Latos had a strong 7 innings, but Chapman gave up his first homer of the season in the 9th.Phillips went 3-3 with a 2 run shot as well.Nicely done. Quote
redsbengalsbucks Posted June 14, 2012 Report Posted June 14, 2012 WAHOO!!!Reds Win!Seems like a long time between series wins against the Indians. It is always nice to get a lead in the series for the in state rivalry.Bring out the brooms! Quote
ArmyBengal Posted June 14, 2012 Report Posted June 14, 2012 Happy to see them doing well against a good team. It's an early game today with a 12:35 EST start.Hopefully Leake has gotten over his illness.Just noticed the Reds end the first half of the season on an 11 game, West Coast, road trip. They start off the second half with a 10 game homestand, but that ending to the first is brutal !!!
