So the first of the Bengals 2012 draft picks to sign is Iloka.

I'm glad to see them get one done and hope to see them moving fast from here on out.

There's really no reason not to get these done with the new scale in place.

I figured better to have a single thread to talk about all the signings as opposed to a different thread for each signing.

Zeitler is the one I want to see get done the most.

Nice to see. The rookie wage system hasn't left much to negotiate, so there's no reason aside from sheer laziness not to start getting deals done.

They're allowed to practice in the rookie stuff, anyway, so I don't see it as a pressing issue. It'll get done...

I'm sure they're just waiting and feeling things out as well as they can. Not much incentive not to...

Much moreso than it was, but there's still going to be a little variation.

I know there are things to consider at the top end of the draft with some players getting their entire contract fully guaranteed like Green did last year, but once you get down into the middle of the round and later, those guarantees drop in percentage and at some point, go away completely.

I don't think that really impacts us very much, but there are still other incentives to consider as well.

Carolina has already signed ALL 7 of their picks. They already know what the money is going to be, c'mon......

& All seven will participate in the team's three-day rookie minicamp beginning Friday afternoon.

I know they say Charles has to work on his blocking, but I really think the two of them are going to add a nice wrinkle to things this year. When you consider the RB by committee approach, the added speed at the WR spot, the upgrades to the interior of the o-line, and a full offseason for Dalton, I think things are really going to be fun to watch this season.

Haven't seen anything new about getting contracts done though.

You love it? Think about how Mike Brown feels.

$2.15 million/year for a starting CB? Compare that to what the Bengals are paying Jason Allen (nearly double that) to be a 3rd or 4th CB.
