jking191 Posted May 8, 2012 Report Posted May 8, 2012 I hated the signing, so I'm pretty happy with this news. He was one of the worst O-Linemen in football last year, and he was going to compete for at least a depth spot in the OLine rotation. Glad he's gone, but I wish him well. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted May 8, 2012 Report Posted May 8, 2012 Didn't like the signing either. I know people talked it up, but I didn't view him as much better than anything they already had and would just take reps from the developing Boling and Hudson. Nothing personal and I wish him well, but so long... Quote
HoosierCat Posted May 8, 2012 Report Posted May 8, 2012 In no doubt related news, Chris Riley is back. Quote
wpeldios Posted May 9, 2012 Report Posted May 9, 2012 The offseason continues to improve. He is just not a good player. Quote
Scottishbengal Posted May 9, 2012 Report Posted May 9, 2012 Good to see the cream rising .....we gotta cut the personnel who ain't up to the desired level. All the best Jacob. The Benagsl are rising!!! Quote
redsbengalsbucks Posted May 9, 2012 Report Posted May 9, 2012 Sounds like he was not up to some competition for a backup job. That alone makes me glad he will not be a Bengal any longer. Quote
TJJackson Posted May 9, 2012 Report Posted May 9, 2012 I know his signing bonus was not huge as NFL signing bonuses go - but with him signing and then retiring before taking a practice snap, doesn't he have to return that to the Bengals? Quote
Scottishbengal Posted May 9, 2012 Report Posted May 9, 2012 I'm sure there'd be some contractural obligations on both sides. But if the Bengals have paid him a signer up-front and then cut him, forcing him to retire rather than find employment elsewhere, they may be prepared to take the hit - but thats all pure conjecture on my part Quote
