TJJackson
All this car talk and no mention of the Lumina yet?Thats just not rightToo easy.....Too obviousEven when the talk shifted to "fixing up the old junker"?
Kazkal
Is he a smart guy like Rich Braham?PA: “The smartest guy I had was Goff. They’re very similar that way. He plays with the some tenacity that Nate (Livings) did. He can pull, but he can’t pull as well as (Eric) Steinbach can. But he’s a good puller. He has a lot of good traits of a lot of different guys we’ve had, really. He’s kind of his own guy; I can’t think of a guy that’s really like him.”Hopefully he's not Fing terrible like nate Livings >.<PS,Not knocking Zeitler just confused by the man crush Alexander had on Nate. membengal
From a profootball weekly piece this quote from a scout from a team other than the Bengals:/>http://www.profootballweekly.com/2012/05/02/insider-cousins-could-be-steal-for-skinsWe had Kevin Zeitler higher on the board than (David) DeCastro, whose best asset is his initial quickness. He’s not strong or powerful. I don’t know where all the hype came from. If you had to take him where it sounded like you needed to take him, you might be wrong, I thought.”
ArmyBengal
I won't quibble over the pick of Zeitler over DeCastro. Time will tell if that was the right call and we will get to see it up close and personal twice a year. I always liked Zeitler and love that we got him where we did and were able to grab another pick. The Bengals are now saying they would have taken Zeitler at #21 had they not taken the trade offer from the Pats.I guess that all depends on what you want to believe. I think at the time, had they taken Zeitler over DeCastro, I would have been pissed, but like I said before, I'm not quibbling over any of it now and am happy with how things worked out. They took an interior O-lineman in the first !!!What was that about times are changing ?? Yeah, that...

princeton
The one knock I heard on DeCastro was he had difficulty blocking size. I assume by that they meant blocking really large, strong, guys.I figure that Zeitler's more of a RG and DeCastro is more a LG. Bengals signed two LGs in the offseason. Zeitler's probably the better fit to team need.

Yeah, that...Well could be they see Zeitler more as a pure RG where Decastro would be more what they prefered from their LG in the past(Quick agile able to pull ala steinbach)The one knock I heard on DeCastro was he had difficulty blocking size. I assume by that they meant blocking really large, strong, guys. Which is why they could have prefered Zeitler being in the North you tend to have Very Strong beast of men in the middle...Ngata,HamptonThey took an interior O-lineman in the first !!!Probably helped Mikey that we traded down so it was only 5 or 6 picks before we took Steinbech in the draft. ArmyBengal
Probably helped Mikey that we traded down so it was only 5 or 6 picks before we took Steinbech in the draft.Well, according to the Bengals, had they stayed put at #21, they would have taken Zeitler over DeCastro. So there's that. I'm just happy they went that way at all, when it appeared they may have gone in another direction.
