Kazkal Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 From the Mind who called Stacey Andrews the best OT in football.» Alexander says he's happy with right guard Bobbie Williams as "he's winding down a fine career," and that he feels Nate Livings has played well enough to remain the incumbent left guard. Alexander says last season's late draft picks, fifth-round right guard Otis Hudson and seventh round center-guard Reggie Stephens, are not yet ready to contribute right away. That may change after another training camp because he thinks they have good upside.So...We don't need any new Olinemen because ours are just fine..Mind you Livings is one of the worst guards in football but thats enough to be starting on Alexanders unit ... ArmyBengal Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 Otis f*cking Hudson huh ??Still the pick I hated most last draft. Quote
volcom69 Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 Livings needs to go he is just horrible. To be honest though i really liked what i saw when A. Collins was playing RT, i wouldnt mind him starting there, and Andre Smith playing at guard. That might not be to bad of a line, but they still need to address the o-line in this draft. Looks like they are getting back to the '09 line, which im fine with because its what they were good at, but they still need change. Quote

kingwilly Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 Just baffling.Livings was truly bad. I can recall trying to give him the benefit of the doubt but after really focusing on his play during many games, he is just not very good.I'd like to see Andre Smith at LG. If they think Collins could handle RT, adding Roland out there when they stack it, getting Mathis in there at RG would be much quicker off the ball on running plays. Loading it on the left, with Whit and Fat f**king Albert could be a solid wall of blubber to keep Cook from collapsing against guys like Ngata and Hampton. Quote

TJJackson Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 I still like "Flesh Zeppelin" better than "Fat Albert" or "solid wall of blubber"But all three are amusing and truly befit the player Quote

ShulaSteakhouse Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 Being happy with the status quo = job security at PBS.Pretty much sums it up.Not sure why the Asst. HC and o-line coach is given a free pass year after year when Marvin and Brat are questioned, the offense has gone into a tailspin etc..., It would be nice to see what someone else could do to develop some of these guys, or draft better players on the o-line.Meh, it's the Bengals, it won't change.
