HoosierCat
Chad had a big day numbers-wise but what did he do in the first quarter when they were still in the game?1st drive: not targeted.2nd drive:1-10-CIN 20 (9:40) 74-D.Roland reported in as eligible. 9-C.Palmer pass short left to 85-C.Ochocinco to CIN 29 for 9 yards (28-D.Butler, 55-B.Spikes).2-1-CIN 29 (8:55) 32-C.Benson left end to CIN 28 for -1 yards (25-P.Chung, 95-T.Banta-Cain).3-2-CIN 28 (8:12) 9-C.Palmer pass incomplete short right to 86-D.Coats.4-2-CIN 28 (8:09) 10-K.Huber punts 46 yards to NE 26, Center-46-Cl.Harris. 19-B.Tate to NE 30 for 4 yards (30-C.Peerman).Third drive:1-10-CIN 20 (2:29) 9-C.Palmer pass short right to 85-C.Ochocinco to CIN 34 for 14 yards (25-P.Chung).1-10-CIN 34 (1:53) 32-C.Benson left tackle to CIN 38 for 4 yards (51-J.Mayo, 75-V.Wilfork).2-6-CIN 38 (1:12) 74-D.Roland reported in as eligible. 32-C.Benson left guard to CIN 34 for -4 yards (50-R.Ninkovich). FUMBLES (50-R.Ninkovich), RECOVERED by NE-50-R.Ninkovich at CIN 28.So to recap, he was thrown to twice, caught both balls for 23 yards and picked up our only first down of the quarter. As far as I'm concerned Chad was one of the few guys who actually showed up Sunday.

Running over the left side. 3 runs, -1 yards and a lost fumble. Not sure if it is Livings, no help from Cook or Whit but this is not the way those guys should get handled. Kazkal
otice, no OTAs, no offseason conditioning, no extra time with the quarterback to work on timing, no professionalism, no run blocking, no effort to run down defenders who have intercepted the ball or picked up a fumble no OTA's??Yes because chad wasn't alrdy working out and in such terrible shapeno Timing 8 years with same QB and How many drops did he have? How many times did carson throw to him and it was not a completion? no run blocking He's never been good at it but plenty of WR's arent...No Effort on running down Defenders? Um He was the one who chased down the guy after Cedrics Fumble.

Yes he does a lot of off the field stuff, but like I said he isn't getting in trouble with the law and has yet to be suspended for anything.I still don't understand how people hate Chad? A few years ago ya'll were all over his jock.

jjakq27
It doesn't matter what Chad does the guys on the board that have the agenda towards Chad will still complain.Damn straight. I've grown weary of Krusty the Clown and all of his zany antics and products. While that may seem like I'm being a hater, I just find a lot of his stuff counter-productive and juvenile. I would prefer a more visible focus on football that's all. I shell out serious beans for season tickets and would like to know that he is 100% committed to his craft and the success of his team and not just shameless self-promotion all the time.As a friend of mine says, "Chad's mama shoulda hugged him more." Lee Johnson got cut when he made an off-hand remark about the management after a game in 1998. I almost forgot about how Chad quit on the team in 2008 yet still got a healthy salary for it too! Since the 2006 playoff game, I have viewed him in a different light. I understand that he has achieved some level of cult status and is a brand instead of a football player but I believe he is the senior man on the roster in terms of tenure now. So act like it. You don't hear the name Chad and leader in the same sentence.

COB
Chad will always tear it up in garbage time and in meaningless games. Unfortuantely, he absolutely wilts under any kind of pressure. I wish it weren't so, but time and again he sucks when we need him most. I think it was the end of the '08 season. We had sucked all year. We played the dolphins, who had just hired new GM Bill Parcells. Just playing out the string, neither team going anywhere. No one really cared about the game, it was basically an exhibition game at the end of the year. Chad tore that s**t up.

Since you like unprofessional players, we'll throw in Carl Pickens as well.I mean, if you're descending to the level of abject stupidity where you want to talk about bringing in players long since retired, let's at least bring in the greats who actually played the position, no? He was good, but he didnt terroize defenses when he played.Like Lynn Swann, he should be in the HoF. He didnt have a long career, didn't have HoF numbers. He just made awesome catches. Chad being self promoting or selfish is a genius move on his part to increase his income. I have no problem with that. 70% of NFL players are broke 3 years after they leave so I am all for Chad maximizing his potential. Outside of his one year where he tried to force his way out, I've completely supported Chad. He even admitted that he was being an a**h*** that year. He still is one of the top WR in the game. For those saying that he racked up numbers in garbage time how is it garbage time when the Patriots first defense was still on the field? Did the players lighten up or something? That's complete bulls**t.
