BengalszoneBilly Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 I LOVE IT! The Reds are all they can talk about on Baseball Tonight!! Quote
redsbengalsbucks Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 Jockety said in the news conference that they still plan to turn Chapman into a starter next season. I thought that was interesting.Yeah, they're using the Rays David Price as a blueprint for developing himCan only hopoe it turns out as well for Chapman than. Quote
Stripes Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 It's the right move. A good starter is just about always more valuable than a good reliever or good closer. He's too talented to waste elsewhere. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted September 1, 2010 Author Report Posted September 1, 2010 Another series, another new record for pages in a game thread. We still have one more game to go as well !!!Way to come show support guys... Quote

Sea Ray Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 Looking at the scoreboard these days is like opening presents on Christmas morning. This time it was the Houston Astros played Santa Claus. Thanks! Quote
semiotter Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 Well we are down to 3 healthy outfielders. Jay got pulled muscle in ribs. Ouch Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 Looking at the scoreboard these days is like opening presents on Christmas morning....and not getting socks!! Quote
HoosierCat Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 I wonder why they only got 14K in attendance tonight?Possibly the economy. Ohio is really taking it on the chin these days.Could be. But I'd bet it's more that they've spent the last two decades not creating a whole generation of fans. They've got a lot of ground to make up. Hopefully, this season is a herald of something better than 1990's flash in the pan. Now, go Reds! Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 Hopefully, this season is a herald of something better than 1990's flash in the pan.To be honest, I loved that flash back in 1990, but it soon flickered out. The new leadership for the Reds seem adept at running a good minor league system, consistently bringing in decent young talent, and when that isn't enough, the go out and sign solid veterans as in the case of Edmonds. IMHO Cincinnati has set it's sights on winning while still keeping an eye on the future. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 Jesus the Reds bats are dead tonight. C'mon boy's, WAKE UP!! Quote
Stripes Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 Chapman in for Cueto in the 7th. Quote
AGrizzlyBaer Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 Chapman's Slider is more impressive then his fast ball. Quote
Stripes Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 Another perfect inning for him, with two Ks. Quote
semiotter Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 I'm glad he is out of there. Let's get there bullpin Quote
Stripes Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 4-1! Hanigan with the three run homer. I love this team. Quote
