Bengals at Bills Game Thread

Tables turned, us out-of-market fans will have to wait for tape delay or hope the pirated internet feeds work.

As for the game:

1. Wondering if Andre will start. Wondering if Whitworth will play. Hoping if its a make-shift line that it keeps Carson from being destroyed.

2. Curious how the safety battle will play out tonite as it sounds like Herbert, White and the other guy whose name escapes me will play a bunch.

3. Would like some health for a change. This is one banged up team already, and ML ran a camp light on padwork. Damn.

4. Hoping they get Nugent some tries that are reasonable. I have been unhappy with Rayner's two misses of makeable field goals. If it's neither of those two, now would be a good time to find out so they can pick off a kicker elsewhere who loses a battle.

Injury report from Reedy...

Not expected to play tonight for the Bengals are: S Tom Nelson (knee), LB Rashad Jeanty (leg), WR Antonio Bryant (knee), WR Maurice Purify (knee), FB Fui Vakapuna (shoulder), S Roy Williams (ankle), S Chinedum Ndukwe (unspecified), OT Anthony Collins (foot), DE Robert Geathers (foot) and DE Frostee Rucker (hamstring).

With Williams and Ndukwe both out, Kyries Hebert gets the start at strong safety. Two surprises not on the list are cornerbacks Morgan Trent and Johnny Sears, who have missed practice this week.

And from Hobson:

The hardest hit position group is at safety, where the top two strong safeties were out and backup free safety Gibril Wilson looks to be headed to injured reserve with a torn-up knee. Special teams captain Kyries Hebert, who has started twice in his 31 regular-season games, drew the nod at strong safety, with Roy Williams (ankle) and Chinedum Ndukwe (unknown) scratched.

As they have all preseason, Jon Fanene started in place of left end Robert Geathers (foot), rookie free-agent Joe Tronzo started at fullback in place of Fui Vakapuna (shoulder), and Terrell Owens started at wide receiver in place of Antonio Bryant.

Well so far they didnt say anything about Whit so i guess he is going to play. A bunch of guys though are out in this one, lets just hope the guys that are out can play in the opener. Hebert will get the start tonght with both Duke, and Williams hurt.

I would like to see the 1st string offense look sharpe and score some TDs, and how about not so many penalties. I wanna see some more down the field passing also.

Most of all lets keep the guys healthy
