ArmyBengal Posted July 13, 2010 Report Posted July 13, 2010 He's just a dumbass and if it was the other guy in the golf group, you would think Ben would be QUICK to make those claims and throw that other guy to the wolves for Ben's own good. That or throw that guy a beating for being so stupid while around Ben, knowing something like that can cause him all kinds of issues. Either way, this could be an issue for Ben because I saw that 6 games getting reduced to 4 with little issue. Maybe not now... Quote

walzav29 Posted July 13, 2010 Author Report Posted July 13, 2010 Do women usually make a fuss? I don't care about a guy taking a leak. I just can't imagine the scenario where a woman would go to the police about this. I will crack up. Quote

Sea Ray Posted July 13, 2010 Report Posted July 13, 2010 What's this woman's problem? Deal with it, lady. I bet she wouldn't call the police if a mother was breast feeding in public. Unless he whipped it out and did it in front of her golf cart, I'd say she's a loon. Quote

You wear dependsSure... But if you can't pee with discretion, you're an idiot.I think there is little to nothing to this story. No harm, no foul. But I've peed outdoors more times than I can count... and I've never once been caught.Just sayin'. Quote
HairOnFire Posted July 13, 2010 Report Posted July 13, 2010 Unless he whipped it out and did it in front of her golf cart, I'd say she's a loon. But isn't that exactly what the original version of the story claimed? That the Biggest Ben, or possibly one his friends, took a very public whizz in the middle of the fairway, not from the bushes? ArmyBengal Posted July 13, 2010 Report Posted July 13, 2010 Hell, even when there are people around, you simply take a knee like you are tying your shoe and then let loose while ensuring your other leg provides cover. Quote
DC_Bengals_Fan Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 Hell, even when there are people around, you simply take a knee like you are tying your shoe and then let loose while ensuring your other leg provides cover.Yeah, that's dangerous though. Because if you've got a massive whiz, it's gonna start looking suspicious when you're tying your shoe for like 2 minutes. As far as this issue goes, I imagine the real problem is Ben being Ben - where one of us would make sure we're being discrete, he just doesn't give a rat's ass about other people. Which is why he (ahem, allegedly) rapes women, is a crappy tipper, pisses in front of people, and has (so I'm told) been banned from every decent bar in Pittsburgh. I tell you though, this guy really is having problems with his penis. Quote
walzav29 Posted July 14, 2010 Author Report Posted July 14, 2010 If you can't hold it, that usually means your pounding beers. At some point he is going to have to face he has a drinking problem and doesn't make the best decisions drunk. Quote
BengalByTheBay Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 Let me say first and foremost, this is a pretty stupid little story. Prior to the reporting of the most recent ... indiscretions, this is the kind of thing that would happen and never see the light of day. Dare I say, it's probably happened thousands of times with this guy. (And yes, I've whizzed on a golf course. If anyone hasn't I highly recommend it -- it's immensely satisfying.) All that said, it's a new era for this guy and every one of these otherwise stupid little dumbass things is going to come back at him. The league doesn't enjoy this kind of stuff and he's now on double secret probation, so I'm sure somebody's tracking it. All of which leads me to inquire whether, just maybe, he's that rare athlete that is simply too stupid to maintain his career in professional sports? I kinda doubt it, but he's making a hell of a run at it. Quote
TJJackson Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 double secret probationThe Animal House reference is twice as nice when you consider the similarities between Rapelisberger and (future Senator) BlutarskyBut yeah, this is definitely a non-story had not the other stuff already happened. Quote
NJ29 Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 I've been as critical of Ben as anybody, but yeah, this one seems a little dumb. The issue for him though, is that it's got his name attached to it, and Goodell might not lighten up on the suspension simply because it's an incident that's found his way into the press again. Quote

Unless he whipped it out and did it in front of her golf cart, I'd say she's a loon. Some people do make a big deal out of breast feeding though,Well I agree it's stupid But I'm also not making millions of millions of dollars and already on a short leash... Sea Ray Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 Unless he whipped it out and did it in front of her golf cart, I'd say she's a loon. But isn't that exactly what the original version of the story claimed? That the Biggest Ben, or possibly one his friends, took a very public whizz in the middle of the fairway, not from the bushes?Exactly my point...if it turns out that he did it in the middle of the fairway then that's not cool. I don't know. I haven't read many details on it Quote
Wraith Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 This is a non issue except that apparently Ben is still drinking and is still having public intoxication issues, after all that is the only reason why guys pee on a golf course right? If I were Godell I would enforce the 6 game penalty to make sure his message gets through...i.e. NO MORE DRINKING IN PUBLIC! Quote
COB Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 Ben's mental age is about 15. At least that's the age of golfers usually generating complaints for being unable to figure out how to take a leak without offending anyone.I kind of wondered why Ben and his posse were playing the fairly pedestrian Country Club at Muirfield, instead of the course the Memorial is played on, Muirfield Village. That mystery was cleared up by the final paragraph in the story about this incident that ran in the Columbus Dispatch yesterday. Said paragraph read as follows:"Before playing the Country Club at Muirfield Village, Roethlisberger attempted to get a tee time at the more prestigious Muirfield Village Golf Club across the road. But according to a source at that club, he was denied. 'His reputation precedes him,' the source said." Quote
