So dancing didn't keep him in weight training and football shape ?? Really ??

Who would have guessed that... <_<

Actually, who would have guessed he'd injure himself before the dance competition even ended? <_<

BTW, I need a judges ruling on whether Chad's sitting out the finale of DTWS qualifies as yet another example of him doing squat in the playoffs?

I watched like one episode of it though I did follow chad on it...What I find stupid though is someone with plenty of experience/training wins this? I thought it was supposed be done with people who don't know how to dance...it's like having The Saints play the best highschool team.

uh oh...

Ochocinco says he's injured

"I can't dance tonight due to injury, trying to squat 420 without a warm was dumb of me," Ochocinco tweeted Tuesday. "Truthfully I felt with me dancing the past 3 months I would've been able to start heavy n work my way down as usual."

But the injury is apparently not serious, and Ochocinco promised that he'd be ready to play in the Bengals' opener against the New England Patriots on September 12.

kind of hurts what little chance we had of trading him...

Not tough enough to finish Dancing With The Stars? I'd laugh if he weren't on the Bengals.

Does anyone else interpret ""Truthfully I felt with me dancing the past 3 months I would've been able to start heavy n work my way down as usual." to mean he hasn't been lifting the 3 months he's been dancing? So f**king typical.

I watched maybe 3 minutes of DWTS, but I'm going to watch every second of his man whore show.

Yep. And it's that exact fear that started threads like this one, while Chad fans defended him calling anyone who dare question him "haters."

It's such bulls**t. Can we trade this a**h*** already?

Can we trade him?

Yeah, probably for the first time since the subject has been broached the Bengals could trade Chad and still remain a playoff contender.

So the question morphs into....should they trade him?

For me it isn't unthinkable, nor is it a given, and my final answer would depend on what the Bengals could get in return.

But yeah, they could trade him now.

No question about it.

Just cut him now. Hes going to hurt his back even more with all the skanks in his reality show vying for his love.

Seriously though. If he comes into mandatory practices fine and ready to go, what does all of this matter. Just because he tweets about everything he does doesn't mean we have to take it seriously or blow it out of proportion and say we are sick of his antics.

If he didnt make it known he tweaked his back, then it wouldn't have been an 'issue'.

Im sure he is in better shape than most players at this time in the year.

Its May I think.

Ray Lewis isnt at OTAs

Anquan Boldin isnt at OTAs

He will be at mandatory camp and will want his reps like he always does.

Now the question is is do we want him to take reps from Simpson or let him develop. And if that is the case then why are we complaining that he hurt himself a tad.

Either way he is screwing up this team.

Absent-- he is hurting team chemistry, but at the same time the younger players are getting much needed reps. But he isnt working out in front of cameras and getting McDonalds. So he is getting fat in the offseason. He is so selfish and all about Chad.

Present-- he is hurting team chemistry because he is taking reps from young players. He is working out in front of everybody eating McDonalds. Must be bad for his cholesterol which hurts the teams feeling because that food makes them fat. Its unfair he can eat like that and have that figure. He is so selfish and all about Chad.

My solution - Dont follow his twitter account. Don't watch the shows he is in. Read the info on him that the regular news sources provide and bingo we have the same amount of info on Chad as we do the other 80 players on the roster atm. (Because im sure there are others that are in worse shape than him.)

Too long I know. All apologies.

As I have said in other posts. Its awesome that this is alll we have to complain about.

The Dolphins just had their 6th arrest in 12 months.

Who Dey

When I think of Chad's antics the first things that come to mind are sideline blowups, playoff game meltdowns, and a tanked season. Tweeting? Not so much. DWTS? Never watched a second of it. ManWhore? I say why bother when it's so easy to watch real porn?

Now the question is is do we want him to take reps from Simpson or let him develop.

You can develope Simpson just as easily with Chad in camp as without. The number of reps lost by Simpson would be insignificant, and he'd have to opportunity to learn from an older veteran player still capable of playing at a high level.

Check, and check again.

That said, he tanked a season, he's getting older, his trade value is still high...and will never be higher, and he's no longer the passing attacks only weapon. Plus, he's not here.

Chad is our only proven Bengals WR.

Im high on Bryant but I was also high on Coles. So I will have to wait and see if he can do it in this system. (I think he will excel though - but I am an optimist with a deep underlying pessimism(I'm a Bengal fan))

After that we have zero proven pass catchers on this roster. We have huge potential, but it feels like that every year.

But I get it that his trade value is the highest it will be at this moment.

His problem is he is too open. Im sure there have been other players that haven't given there all in a season. They are smart enough to not say they didn't try hard.

Maybe a midseason trade when we know how well Bryant, Simpson, Cosby, Welker(brain lock), Briscoe, Caldwell, Jones are shaping up.

But a trade in the offseason would make me very uneasy about our WR corp.

We have to keep 7 WR.

This is our year if we want to win a super bowl,.. How would trading chad help us win a superbowl?.. Especially since he wants to win so bad,.. It would not help us at all IMO

Oh for God's sake, it's freaking *May*. The guy pulled a quad or something because he didn't warm up. If he can't play come July, then it's time to hyperventilate.

The sky is not falling, Chicken Little. I mean sheesh, I've never been a Chad lover by any means - and was fully in favor of trading him during the 2008 offseason - but he can still play and I am not even slightly worried about his conditioning. Not even a little.

Chad is our only proven Bengals WR.

Seems to me he's proven plenty of things over the years, and not all of them are good. In fact, the reoccuring theme of Chad's "antics", be they trivial or important, is a willingness to place his individual wants and needs ahead of the team. From a salary push that bordered on extortion and resulted in a tanked season, to dancing the cha-cha while his teammates are busy elsewhere developing timing, running new plays, etc.

His problem is he is too open. Im sure there have been other players that haven't given there all in a season. They are smart enough to not say they didn't try hard.

Too open? More like too blatant. Because even Chad isn't stupid enough to threaten something, do it, and then after the fact expect anyone to believe any excuse he offered. So he admits the obvious, but qualifies things by saying it won't happen again, and quickly declares all is forgiven. And having forgiven himself Chad promptly resumes clowning...which IMHO is just fine as long as his attempts to build Brand Ocho doesn't involve him giving less than 100% on the football field again. Which it always seems to.

Maybe a midseason trade when we know how well Bryant, Simpson, Cosby, Welker(brain lock), Briscoe, Caldwell, Jones are shaping up.

That works for me too.

Chad wants to win so bad? HA!

How bad did he want to win when he tanked in '08?

How bad did he want to win last year when he decided he was going to get media attention with boxing instead of football?

How bad does he want to win this year when he has chosen to forgo football training to help him focus on not one but two reality TV shows?

If there is any evidence that Chad wants to do anything, it's that he wants to be the center of attention. Actually winning and contributing to a Super Bowl season dropped far down on Chad's list of priorities long ago.

You want to give Chad a pass because it's not mandatory? Fine. But don't give me this tripe that he cares about winning. Because virtually every player who claims winning as their first priority is either at OTAs, or they are training specifically for the football season. Chad just wants to be a celebrity... and I'd just rather him focus on his celebrity while he's playing for some other team.

When he was reporting probowl weekend,.. He almost got arrested because he wanted to touch a lambardi's trophy... I know that may not mean much but IMO chad wants to win very badly,.. Should he be in practice, i'd like it if he was... But its giving a chance to the new guys thatre out there right now,.. Noone else wants to get a trophy than chad...

Yep. No way anyone could construe that as a publicity stunt. That was clearly Chad wanting to win so badly that he wanted to touch something that he hadn't even earned.

*laugh*

Whatever Chads motivations are, he better give his all on the field and at practice.

This team is too deep at WR for him to show up without a care in the world.

I may be easy on him now, but if he shows up thinking he is the No 1 and its his job solely, well, he better watch out if thats the case.

He can be replaced, but I just want to see if someone can step up to either push him or supplant him.

He is walking a fine line and I hope he comes into camp with his head on straight ready to win. If not - he will lose this team. He will be turned on faster than a ____ at a Texas ____.

That goes for a lot of people actually. But Chad especially.

Chad in the Superbowl? I'm not sure he could handle it. He'd be so overly excited he'd have some sort of meltdown.

The only two big things he's made it to - '05 playoff game and DWTS finals, he freaked out on one, and bailed on the other. Not exactly a balls-out winner.
