Lance is trying to stay unbiased and factual, because he's now a psuedo-employee of the Bengals. He's been bitching at the fans all week who weren't "excited enough" for this game.

Now he's trying to tell us to get all excited for the freakin Reds and Opening Day (zzzz - the Reds, like the Bengals, died in the late 80's/early 90's).

I told you this o-line was going to be their un-doing this year, and wah la, defense has been on the field too long all year and got banged up because they couldn't sustain drives, pass protect with any kind of "good team" consistency, and are full of scrubs because Mike Brown won't pay for good 0-lineman beyond a tackle.

Every freakin run tonight except one tonight, Cedric made on his own - and that's what Brown likes, one franchise back he can wear out for a few years, who can hide his skimping on o-lineman in the draft and FA.

Corey Dillon was practically crippled by the time he retired in NE, and was just another one of the trio of backs there - like the Jets - they employ 2-3 RB's and "get it."

Marvin is a good defenive mind with an eye for defensive talent and gets what modern NFL teams need to do talent-wise to compete, but he is not a great HC, if a good one, and has some lame duck Mike Brown loyalty members he's stuck with on his staff (Bratkowski, Alexander) and will always come up short outside of the regular season.

This franchise is going nowhere barring drastic changes that never happen.

I now expect Ocho Nocho to start campaigning for a new team, and Mike Brown would be wise not to be so smug, and realize that now, his fan base is in serious jeopardy of abandoning him for good, to the point of losing a lot of money for several years.

The Bengals always have a good/great RB. But they rarely, if ever, under Mike Brown, have an o-line for any significant period of time, that can truly perform, and get to the postseason more than well, never, or every 5 years after you draft a franchise QB (who has now been officially Bungalized, and just wants to take his chips and go home to his wife).

The 80's SB teams were known for their o-lines, the Jets tonight displayed that as well, it bleeds into every other part of the game and sets teams apart.

5 out of 6 offensive lineman on the Bengals would NOT start for any other team in the league, that is basically a fact.

That will not get you a playoff win, but a franchise QB with Coles, Chad and Benson can make it work in the AFC North this year, every so often, to get to the playoffs, with a solid defense.

Pretty dire. This is the outlook after we win/sweep the division/make the playoffs/have a winning season, all things the fanbase has been asking for? I think a little time will allow the fans, myself included, to gain some perspective and appreciate this season for the success that it was.

If Mike keeps Brat, Zimmer would be fully justified in leaving. He puts an effective unit out there all the time, and his counterpart has, by any measure, failed the last few seasons. Why would Zimmer bother staying knowing his defense has to not only stop the other team but score the points as well? Should have fired him after last year, get going Mike and say goodbye to Bratkowski.

When I think of brat I picture him playing with a childs toy one of those box's with the different shaped blocks and as he plays with it he takes the Star Block and trys to force it in the Triangles hole,he keeps trying to jam it in there but it just won't fit...Which reminds me of how he works with his players Rather then playing them to their Strengths he'll just keep doing what he does...

Williams isn't the only vet Now Livings & Mathis are also vets...His leadership is nice but you still gotta produce so if hes best opition keep him around if not let him walk...

Ndukwe it's hard because you just wanna like the guy and see him do good,He has such a bad ass name but I think we were better off when Roy was Starting and really could use young stud to develop (either as FS for Crockers replacement 2-3 years from now or SS sooner then later...I hope we bring back Roy though he earns his spot not even as a starter but playing special teams.

i couldn't post right away but if you watched the game, there were three players that really lost this game for us:

1) Carson Palmer - basically never looked comfortable and didn't command the game well.

2) Shayne Graham - two huge missed, medium distant field goals. Neither snap or hold were bad, he just pulled them.

3) Brandon Johnson - He got sucked in playing the run way too much and got burned multiple times. He was the one that bit on the fake to the fullback and pitch. He was the one to get burned twice in man coverage to the TE.

Something big needs to happen this next year. I loved our defense, but if we lose Zimmer I don't know what we'll do.

On defense I'd like to see a new Safety and Linebacker for depth.

On Offense I'd like to see WR (obviously).
