What a waste...

What's THAT supposed to mean?

I took it to mean that a young life snuffed out, leaving three small children without a father is a shame. It is. I didn't take any offensive meaning to it. I don't believe Sea meant any.

Its a sad day in Bengal land. I have always been a Chris Henry fan. Through all of his troubles, always wanted to see him on the field.

I was so happy he was pulling it all together.

He then broke his arm, then this.

RIP Chris

This sucks.. I can only imagine what his teammates are going through let alone his family and friends. He supported so many who were close to him. I feel so sorry for his family, especially his kids.

This is unbelievable.

I hear that..i have no idea what to say..Ive been pretty busy the past few months so i haven't been around on here much..but this is absolutely terrible. There's nothing i can say that will lighten this burden now on his family and friends. So young and so full of potential. Truly a sad day in bengaldom, let the grieving begin boys.

RIP SLIM...15 is catching TD's in heaven and chirpin Ike Taylor every day now :)

You wont be forgotten brother.

As a Redskins fan from your F2FA affiliate, TheHogs.net, this is very sad news to see on a day we are supposed to enjoy with the front office moves that have gone on this morning.

Chris Henry's passing is very depressing and tragic. This situation is VERY unfortunate and is something us Redskins fans are all too familiar with. So while today's big moves in Washington are refreshing and a positive for Redskins fans, it is bittersweet because of the loss of another member of the NFL fraternity.

It is eerily reminiscent of Sean Taylor's passing. Sean would have been 26 just like Chris. Chris was also overcoming personal troubles and passed away late in the season like Sean did. The press conference with Marvin and Mr. Brown was a tear jerker because what was said by them was almost exactly what was said by Joe Gibbs and Dan Snyder when Sean passed. They talked about how the young men were improving their lives, loved their families and teammates and were misunderstood by the media.

The circumstances of the situation brought back bad memories. We know how it feels, Bengals fans.

Stay strong everyone. Don't EVER take life for granted. Enjoy the people around you.

Today, all NFL fans bleed orange and black. Good luck in the playoffs.

This one's for you, Chris: "Who Dey!?"

R.I.P. Chris.

Packers fan here,

I'm so sorry to hear the news, what a terrible tragedy. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the Bengals nation on this day. Chris Henry was one of my favorite players and I was so happy that he got his life straightened out. He was way to young to go.

RIP Chris Henry

God... I hate waking up to this type of horrible news... :(

RIP Chris, A.k.a. Slim

With this news, I'm taken back to thoughts of my brother passing last year. I give much thought to the fact my son will never know his uncle and how big of a loss that is without him even knowing it. Chris, regardless of what you thought about his past, was a father of 3. To his children he was "Daddy", "Da Da", and overall perfect in their eyes. A loss of that magnitude is very difficult for me to even sit here and put into words without getting choked up about. I feel so deeply sorry for his family and 3 kids that won't have their Dad any longer. This Christmas and sadly, all Christmas' from here out will always have this attached to them.

I pray that his family will somehow find a way to cope with this loss and try to find happiness in his memory, despite this tragic event.

I truly hurt for his children and our thoughts and prayers are with his entire family.

Rest in peace Chris...

Terrible Terrible news. I pray for his children, family and friends.

I remember going to the 06 June mini-camp (open house practice) at PBS. He and gotten into some trouble recently but still signed autographs eventhough the media was totally on him and the Bengals. He signed my daughters football and she was thrilled. It put a huge smile on my daughters face.

Thank you Chris and may you rest in Peace......

I remember one of he last interviews Chris did was after he broke him fore arm this year.... The reporter asked him if he wanted to come back and sign with the Bengals. Chris answered with what I believe.... I want to be a Bengal for the rest of my career.

Chris my friend, you will always be remember as a Bengal. You are a Bengal for life.... R.I.L. (Rest In Love) Chris Henry... We will miss you...

Another Redskin fan here to say RIP Chris. As others have said, our fan base knows how this feels as we lost Sean Taylor just 2 years ago. We have a saying on our message board, that God had to bring in a safety to heaven, now he's got a WR to keep him busy- keep your heads up, ignore the stupid comments people will make.

As far as Ocho wearing Slim's number 15, we went through the same frustration. The NFL would not let any of our players wear #21 in his memory. Although when Sean was voted to the probowl that year- Chris Cooley and our OL were allowed to wear Seans ProBowl jersey.
