Ickey44
Just Chad being Chad... But I do agree with Bwilly or BCruise whatever he calls himself... If they don't start working on the passing game Palmer and the WR's timing will continue to get worse. I'm cool with the run too.LMAO @ Ron for bashing Supra.. Ron says: It had nothing to do with the playcalling (oakland), although it could've been better. Talk about a contradiction. If the Bengals can't score more than 17 pts offensively then that has everything to do with the playcalling bro.Do any of you idiots not remember the FOUR TURNOVERS in that game? Tell me what play calls would have prevented that. Please.

Wraith
I was back in Cincy for Thanksgiving and my parents gave me tickets to the Cincy / Cleveland game for my birthday since they hadn't seen me since I turned 38. I went to the game with my dad which was something I have missed alot since moving my family down to Omaha and as we were watching the game in the third quarter my dad leaned over to me and said "they are still keeping their safeties deep they are still playing pass", now I admit that I hadn't noticed that being too wrapped up in the game at the line of scrimmage but after he said that I started paying attention to the safeties and the Browns never moved either of their safeties up in run support the entire game. I was stunned after all we were abusing them in the running game one would have thought they would have made adjustments rather than just allow us to pound the ball right at them the entire game but they didn't. Then I went back and watched the Oakland game that I DVR'd and guess what...Oakland did virtually the same thing, counted on their front four and the occasional linebacker to stop the run and dropped 6-7 guys into coverage every down. The word is out that Palmer will massacre anyone that tries to play the run against the Bengals and at least for these last two weeks teams have been saying to the Bengals we will risk getting our heads beaten in by your running game but we are not going to expose ourselves to big plays in the passing game, can you blame the Bengals for taking what the opposition is giving you particularly when you know that your defense can outman the oppositions offense. We lost a fluke game against Oakland if we make the field goal when we were 1st and goal from the 3 yard line and Andre Caldwell doesn't fumble the game away on the last kickoff return we win that game too. I think you will see much the same game plan against Detroit because their defense is just that bad and then they will open their offense up against Minnesota and San Diego because they have to regardless of how the defense schemes against us. I'd still like to see the line pass protect better though. If the defense is only rushing 4 or 5 guys none of them should ever get to Palmer. From reading the dot com, it seems like that is Brat's focus this week along with getting the stupid pre-snap penalties cleaned up.

The one thing that bugs me about watching games on tv is you can't see what's going on in the secondary. Even on pass plays you often don't see the secondary until the ball goes downfield. That is one great advantage to seeing games in person, you can really see routes and coverages, thanks for letting me know teams are still playing the pass. It's really encouraging knowing that defenses know we've got a multi-faceted offense that will make them pay if they sell out to either aspect. I will only add that the Bengals came out and put 14 points on the board quick against that same coveragein Oakland. The turnovers were a huge factor in that loss, but the scheme and playcalling could've been 100% better in the second half. Bad coaching was another big reason we lost that game. And yes Ron, even in Semi Pro we know to switch up the playcalling. Not to name drop or anything but I was playing last week with Derrick Goodman (Former UC WR who played in the Orange Bowl last year) and he is by far the best player on our team (I hope he gets a tryout in the NFL sometime soon). We were down 22-6 with 10 minutes to go. We decided to change it up and get the ball in his hands as much as possible and we came back and won the game because of that.I'm not saying 85's the best player on this team, but the man is unstoppable if Palmer is on. We must get the ball in his hands. Brat has to call more passing plays to get #9 and his WR's in sync going into the playoffs. The timing is way off. Where they messed up was by getting a case of butterfingers. That was the only thing wrong in that game beside Graham missing the field goal. They were moving the ball and getting first downs. They had over 170 yards rushing. The play-calling was just fine. The execution sucked ass. Can you guarantee me that with different play calls they don't fumble the ball all those times? You surely can't. Also, 85 has had a case of butterfingers this year, too. I don't want the ball in his hands when we've got the lead and we're trying to seal the win. It's not going to get us far in the playoffs, let alone a win against Minnesota or San Diego. They will be coming to score some points. Incognito of course, for reasons already well established but per mods, no longer openly discussable. Let's just say "health concerns".I'm not saying 85's the best player on this team, but the man is unstoppable if Palmer is on.Nah, he's just fine either way, sending dozens of tweets out every day and making on camera appearances at every given opportunityOh wait.......did you mean on the field? Oh, thats an entirely different matter. Yeah, those 2-3 catch games are really propelling us to the playoffs.
TJJackson
Spout all the nonsense you wantI am starting to think he gets paid to do so....kinda like how some talk show hosts will open the show with a ridiculous statement simply to inflame callers into calling and participating

TJJackson
Football is football.. It's different levels, same game.Ok, everyone, let's switch this board over to semi-pro ball. They're exactly the same, and i bet it is a LOT cheaper to be a fan of a semi-pro teamSo - for the games I cannot attend, what channel are you guys on?And where can i get a gizzle jersey? Not a cheap knockoff, mind you, an official one.Chad's fault or Brat's?Chad'syou must be smoking crack.I concur that there appears be some heavy drug use involved in this stream of posts......but it isn't me doing the smoking

HairOnFire
I guess I just don't have faith. As positive as I like to be, this team worries the crap outta me! Maybe its all those close games at the begining of the year. This season could've been the exact opposite if a few balls don't bounce our way... Something is wrong here whether you like to admit it or not. I think we've finally reached the crunchy center of things. Apparently we're now at the point where we indulge our concerns the Bengals may not rank amongst the truly elite teams in the NFL, and if we were realistic about it we'd admit this team only has a punchers chance at winning a championship. I'll take it.
Pidge
It speaks volumes about this team that win more than they lose in close games. In seasons past, the sissynannies would have phoned it in in most of those close games (if we were lucky) or just got flat out handled and made to look like a bunch of no-talent idiots (if we were unlucky).
