Ickey44
Blah blah blahThe offense is working just fine. The problem yesterday was turnovers, which is easily fixable. The first key to fixing it is never giving JJ the ball again. He just needs to block. He can't catch or take a hand off....You just need to settle down as it was just one game. membengal
Five fumbles will do that to an offense. So will not blocking the red zone. And missing field goals. A series of mistakes. Blame shared equally.Time to forget it and move on.
ShulaSteakhouse
Yeah they came back from the Texans debacle, and yet another 2nd half collapse, to destroy the Bears like no one else has this year.So maybe they'll do the same this week and we can move on from this one too.I have issues with not scoring in the 2nd half of the last 3 games, not taking more shots at the end zone inside the 20, the o-line letting guys through unblocked, pre-snap penalties galore again, etc.., and the defense not getting a sack on Gradkowski after doing it to the Steelers all day long, then giving up two long drives for scores to a terrible team, and thinking Morgan Trent should be covering the other team's best WR one-on-one. JoePong
I didn't realize that games in the AFC outside the division were the only ones that count. That is cause for concern! That's fine...as long as you don't give a damn about winning in the playoffs. I find it very difficult to believe that we will advance very far though without having to meet a team outside the AFC North. The odds of that aren't very good. Or if you don't think playoff seeding matters either. But hey, if you're just happy to be there, then I suppose it shouldn't bother you at all. Cincy will never beat any AFC team that isn't in it's own division. It's a curse. There's nothing that can be done about it... and it's not just the invention of Pong. It's science. First it was our cheap owner who would rather lose because it's cheaper, then it was the media against us, and I've always known God hated the Bengals. But to discover now that science is against us, it's almost too much to take. Marvin, please usher us into a new age of enlightenment. JoePong
Yeah, I'm sure it's just a TOTAL coincidence. Nothing to worry about at all. And I am also sure it's a total coincidence that our offense can't put points on the board game after game. Nothing to worry about. Nothing to see here. Move along...This tea is going to roll come playoff time. Count on it.

It's not a beauty contest. It's a win football games contest, and we're winning the contest, so go get an anti-anxiety prescription and enjoy this ride. JoePong
Umm...I think I am actually the only one who DOES get it. Which is why this loss wasn't surprising to me at all. If you were surprised by this loss, then you just haven't been watching this offense all season. And YOU don't get it.

If you were surprised by this loss, then you just haven't been watching this offense all season. And YOU don't get it.All you do is look at whatever trends you can find that are negative and run with it believing you're some sort of statisitical genius. The Bengals had good games against a couple NFC teams, so those don't count. The Bengals are 5-0 in the division, so those don't count. But they lost on a fluke to Denver, and got beat two other times to, wait for it, non-AFCN AFC teams. Trends that can't be ignored! Or trends that wouldn't be noticed by someone who isn't desperate to find something to bitch about.
SupaBran
Did anyone read the piece on .com about the Bengals were searching for points? It was an article that talked to Brat and this douche took no blame or responsibility for his s**tty performance! I believe, when asked about why he would hand off to Jeremi Fatass Johnson, he responded with a "Well, if it worked, you would be saying how great of a change of pace call it was!" Well, dumbass, it didn't work! Gawd, I officially hate that douche!

He didn't even get the hand off. They just need to use him for blocking only. You've got Leonard, Scott, and LJ to carry the ball and they know what to do with it. Give it to them. HairOnFire
Stupid people, of course, keep telling me all throughout this thread that it doesn't matter that our offense doesn't score. Well, maybe now you will start taking it seriously and realize that something has to improve drastically if we want to have any success in the playoffs. Keep pounding 'em, Joe. Because if you hit them hard enough and often enough they may learn to love you.
kingwilly
Did anyone read the piece on .com about the Bengals were searching for points? Wait...I thought our offense's inability to score points doesn't matter...DOH!You guys are hilarious.Idiot.The points are right there. Ready to be had. Everyone "wants" them. The Bengals clearly need to score more points in order to win.The great football mind, Joe Pong, proclaimed you have a better chance to win if you score more points. well thanks for the tip.The discussion has been about how to get them scoring the points they need to win. For the third time this year, they did not. Though, seven other times, they did.See, the defense tries to "stop" other teams from scoring, and the offense attempts to "score" points when they have the ball. The defense has done pretty well "stopping" the other team, thus reducing the pressure on the offense to "score".Mr. Brat seems to imply it is on the players.... ie, I call the shots and if the fat kid fumbles (on his third carry of the season) it is on him, but if he had made it, I look like a playcalling God.It is a passive-agressive arrogance, how he washes his hands and absolves himself of blame. If you are going to only take the credit, well, F you bratkowski. Not throwing the ball to "PLAYMAKERS" like Coles, Chad, Caldwell, or running the ball with your strongest options, is moronic. It is like, "I am so clever, I will run a FB short-dive, they will never see that one coming..." but the fat kid has butter fingers, and is weak about the wrists...FUMBLES!!!So, Mr. Pong, before you make some absurd claim as to "needing to score more points" and "more likely to win games", perhaps you can become enjoined in the detailing of just how you think they need to, situationally, do just that?Show us, show us all.We are ready for your WIZDOM.
