Kazkal, no one is forcing them to turn on HBO, new or not, at 10:00 est on Wednesdays.

The ratings are legit.

It's car-crash watching at its best.

Plus, a human weeble wobble!

....and according to the promos for tonights show, the compelling story of two brothers, both handsome and rich, yet one is a superstar while the other is an afterthought. So what makes them tick? How do they get along? And what do they really think of Chad Ocho Dinko.

Best, since it's HBO we're talking about....I'm pretty sure the program will dramatically reveal how one of the Palmer brothers is....(wait for it)....an emotionally tortured yet attractive teenage vampire.

Not Forcing them just saying it's abit more accessible now is all

HBO should really pick up the rights to Terminator: TSCC. It's criminal that that show was axed.

Was hoping Comedy Central would pick up My name is Earl & Chuck myself hehe >_<

Agent: We just want to be paid where he is slotted.

Katie: But number 7 got too much money

Agent: Even if it is just a little more than 7, we'll take it

Katie: Sorry, we're just not willing to budge here

...you can even hear it in Keels tone of voice. He is getting pressure from all sides. Pressure from Smith to get it done, pressure from the business, knowing that it is occupational suicide for him if he takes less than #7, and pressure from the Bengals, by offering less than the slot because in truth, they own all the cards.

And the beat goes on.

Wow,this episode did not help Katie :| at all >_<

Yeah, that was teh stupid right there at the end.

Katie: "Well, if you guys are still hung up on getting paid more than the guy taken behind you, we can't help..."

Keels: "Uhhhh...you do understand the whole concept of slotting, right?"

(crickets)

Funny episode. I hope McDonald's paid for all that free advertising...gatorade too.

Good stuff on Henry and Chad, glad to see they are staying on them.

Yeah, the Carson/Cook "smell my finger" bit was priceless.

My favorite moment: Tank confronted with some assembly required."

no doubt....

gotta say, considering the choice editing being done I would love to see what is NOT making it on the show.

her exhange with Keels over the phone is interesting. There is no deal imminent because the Bengals will simply NOT pay more than DHB's deal. period.

she falls back on the "that's a lot of money" line, which is an ignorant statement, as the word is the current offer is less than Gholston at #6 last year. If I was Keels, I would wait another week and then increase the demand, and with each week get closer to the #5 deal than the #7 deal. Stupid SoP. It is like arguing over the price of bullet proof body armor just as you are to embark on your Faloujah mission.

no matter what happens, the bengals are screwed.

the rest of the episode was good. the on-field stuff was good with the audio captured. some of the angles are not usually seen, with Pressley having some nice blocks, as well as Jeremi Johnson.

Coffman looks confused at times, and gets tossed aside by 94, looks like bad balance and footwork.

Ndukwe has all the tools to move past Roy based on coverage skills but if he is as dismissive of coaching input as shown on this episode, he will be on the bench.

Lunch made a good hit to cause the fumble but is just too slow to anchor the S spot in real coverage where he really needs to run. S depth is up in the air.

I am still very concerned of CB depth as well. To think Ndukwe or Lynch could nickel is silly. Makes one crave a Kaseviharn.

I recored it and will watch again once kids are asleep and dig into more details/observations.

Here's to hoping Chris Pressley makes the team.

I think he'll be placed on the practice squad.

I'd say depends on Fui's Injury if he get's Pupped I could see Pressley making it in his place as part of the 3te2fb combo...I wouldn't mind seeing the guy make it he doesn't offer much in passing game but seems like punishing lead blocker type ala oneal.

Yep. Keels will do anything to keep his guy from going less than the slot amount. Occupational suicide is hyperbole, but barely. Imagine the ammo he's giving his competition when it comes to signing new clients if he caves.

And imagine Andre Smith down in Alabama. He knows if he signs, even for the Bengals lowball offer, many millions in signing bonus, many millions in guaranteed money no matter what happens down the road. He's probably hearing from about some of the other top guys - new car, house for mom, new condo or house in the football city, probably another place at home.

Surely the Bengals feel the relationship between player and agent, which was tenuous to begin with, is vulnerable. I want the pick signed for the football end of things, but that storyline fascinating. Pumpkin's playing hardball. She's not even negotiating, she's just saying no way.

Off topic but I found it interesting that in their meetings the coaches refer to Henry as Slim. Chad they've given up trying to use a name and just call him 85.

which is why it is so fascinating. It is not even hardball, she has taken the ball an gone home.

All the picks are in, slotted and there is only so much that can be done with escalators, playing time bonuses, off-season workots, etc. There are only so many ways to skin the cat here.

The bengals know the system, the way it works, and they simply don't want to be part of how it works, ie, they are poor at this part of the business, consistently floundering r1 picks. I see them as being the unreasonable party from the outside. It is not as if Keels is asking for #5 money.

If they get near Game 1 and he is still out, I see no way he will have anything to contribute, unless there is a serious injury. It is just a bummer.

Hayes ripping on Coffman was very good.

Henry still has a lot of punk in him.

The Bengals shouldve traded down if they couldnt afford the no.6 pick, they look stupid right now on HBO, trying to sign their pick.

Marvin's speeches at halftime and the end of the game drew roll eyes

The Palmer bit was funny

Think Henry just has the normal Diva WR in him...Don't think it is that big of deal but hopefully coles rubs off on him instead of chad.

No Doubt if they didn't wanna pay as much as gholsten got they should have.... but this is brown family we know and love..

I totally agree, it was a great show... but that is FOX for ya, anytime there is actually a good show worth watching they axe it.

There is no way he should get less than Gholston. The Bey thing is debatable. I'll look it up, but did Bey get more than any other guy drafted before him? They should have signed him before the Raiders made their deal. The worst part is that year in year out the Bengals have holdouts and year in year out they have losing seasons. Winning is obviously not priority #1. Oh well. I'll still watch. Henry is a punk though. To me you don't push a 5 time pro-bowler in the back.
