HairOnFire
Bengals safety Chris Crocker said last month he wanted to sign in the first day of free agency and agent Tony Paige confirmed that his client did when he re-upped in Cincinnati for a four-year deal worth $10 million with $3.5 million guaranteed."He's respected there, he's wanted and he's comfortable in the system," Paige said. "There were other teams interested, but he felt the best fit was going back to Cincinnati." http://www.bengals.com/news/news.asp?story_id=7530

A good, long-term deal for a good player at a spot we've had trouble finding the right guy at. Bye, DJax!

Pidge
Good stuff. Our secondary is looking better and better for next season. Hopefully pick up a nickel corner and we're pretty much set I think.

HAPPYJAQ
Nice! It's really probably a 2-year deal but a steal at only 3.5 million guaranteed. Crocker gave the defense a huge lift last season and gave himself a nice little pay raise. This is even more important if you consider that Marvin White will most likely start the season on the PUP list. It's starting to look like it's going to be one or the other on the Benson/Ward situation. Low man wins, more than likely. If Ward signs Saturday, I think we'll lose Ced. I'm kind of surprised that guys like J.J. Arrington and Correll Buckhalter, specialist types, are getting quicker looks than Ced, though. Wraith
Need to get a center before the draft so Benson or Ward, TJ and a FA Center and we are good to go.
Whur CHad At?
True...There is not much intrest right now in Jason Brown. We need to get on that.
Baraka
i read the rams offered him 7 mil per but he doesn't want to play for them, so he was hoping another team would jump in and offer him the same deal. maybe his price comes down and we can enter the fray. Kazkal
He turned down 7million a year? I thought it was what he was looking for moneywise....Can't see us getting brown when we aren't even showing interest in him
Baraka
it looks like he was using the rams as leverage to get what he wanted from the ravens, dolphins . . . bengals?
