I like this pick...and I think this pretty much signals the end of the Chad Era in Cincy...I am guessing the Bengals are now waiting til after June 1st to trade him for draft picks next year. Urrutia has the right size to be a possession receiver and a good gunner on special teams. Now we just have to wait and see what guys the Bengals are able to bring in as undrafted free agents

I doubt it happens that quick,If chad doesn't get his head on strait there is no way bengals let TJ walk.

More then Likely He'll at least get slapped with the franchise tag till they see what they have at WR.

PS,Yes I would pay TJ top 5 money if we are willing to pay stacey it.

wow after 2 days of draft, this guy made me proud to prove to my brother i am not idiot, we play a game where we write down 10 picks what we think bengals will pick (positions not player names lol)

and on list i put down 3 wrs, in last i was right and i beat my brother on score 8 to 6, the 2 wrong i got on is 2nd dt and a te, i have a rb and og instead

Sadly, I'm going to be the negative Nancy on Urrutia. I'm a huge Louisville fan, and this guy had one of the most disappointing seasons in the NCAA's last year. He told all his friends at the beginning of the year that this would be his swan song with UofL, then proceeded to drop tons of catchable balls, and fail to complete routes. Brohm's stats would be obscene if this dork hadn't just half arsed his way through things.

One of the summaries said he had turf toe last year. That can be hard on a WR

Heh. Turf toe. The Kragthorpe administration has been plagued with weird injuries that amount to quiet player suspensions. Mario seemed at many times to have "turf head." At times, he would not seem 100% in the game. I'd love to see him turn it around, as he's a tremendous specimen, but who knows....

Well, UofL, I would guess there was a reason that he fell to the 7th round, so I certainly won't be holding my breath over him, but at least he has size. Worst case scenarion? He joins 95% of previous late 7th round draft picks and gets cut...

I'll have to swallow my pride on this one as a UK fan.. but good pickup. The guy is huge and has made some incredible receptions in his career. I'm pleased with the selection.

Um 7th rounders are one of the few rounds that stick on this team.

Dan santucci

Chinedum Ndukwe

Ethan Kilmer

Jonathan Fanene

T.J. Houshmandzadeh

No longer with the team

Bennie Brazell -Had little experience at playing plus the injury didn't help.

Casey Bramlet-Hes a QB what do you expect.

Elton Patterson-Never did nothing

I am a brand new poster but think that this message board is the best message board for the Cincinnati Bengals. I live in Louisville and I can tell you that Urrutia is a beast. Steve Kragthorpe, the Cards coach, is the reason that we were even able to get him in the 7th. Coach K runs a terrible offense, that has suffered since Bobby Petrino left. He came out early (always a plus, especially with UFA's) and had he come out after his Soph. season would have been an EASY first day pick. He is not quite Chris Henry but has a ton of big-play potential, especially in the Red Zone. He is especially dangerous on slants and crosses, due partly because of his size. He is not, however, a tight end as he is a poor blocker, but I would say that he is a lock to make the team, as the 6th reciever. I believe that he has 3rd ot 4th round value and 2nd round (or better) potentail. He is at least as good as Harry Douglas, also of Louisville, who rent in the 3rd to the Falcons. Just my thoughts from the 'Ville. WHO DEY!
