GregCook
I got alittle bit of ESPN's Mike & Mike with Chad listing all the reasons the Bengals had a bad year. Mainly because of him.So he suggests for the Bengals to win, they need to move him. Even though he but up his numbers, he was the "reason" for 7-9. Alittle short of "trade me now dammit". But heading in that direction. He was unhappy that nobody from mgmt came to him during the season to knock down the trade rumors, the rumors that Chad was a distraction, that Chad wasn't funny anymore. COB
I heard it. Sort of a new complaint, I'm guessing his agent thought this one up. He set it up by saying he'd been the brunt of a lot of criticism for being a distraction, being selfish, and being a cancer. Then he said, "Not too many people handled my back, within," and a minute later in the same conversation said, "Things were said, nobody came to my defense."The really funny thing about this is that right before he said this, they played a tape of Carson completely coming to Chad's defense, saying he's great, can back everything up he says, etc. Reality plays a very small role in our Prom Queen's world. Basically, Chad played the usual "I'm such a victim" card. The self-pity in his voice was nauseating. That interview made it obvious that he really wants out of Cincinnati in the worst way. BigBenBlows
Wow, I'm sorry I missed that. I was talking to a guy from work about this very thing yesterday, he asked me if I thought Chad would be a Bengal next year. I told I wasn't sure he would and now this comes out in the media. Also anyone heard about Marvin possibly going to Baltimore as HC?

Anyone be all that surprised if a fleet wideout is picked on day 1?
redsbengalsbucks
Trade Chad to Baltimore for Rex Ryan and Mason, if he wants out so bad.
kingwilly
Well, well, well...wittle chad wants his teammates to get his back.hmmm...this is pathetic. Let me get this straight; here is the guy who talks the talk, somtimes walks the walk, but then when he pulls up lame and drops passes he wants his teammates to come running to his aid? CJ is the one who pushes guys away so he can put on "his" show after a TD. He dissed the organization for not contesting trade-rumors? My recollection is that they did dismiss those rumors.I think this is a transparent attempt to whine his way right out of Cincy. He can get more flash, and maybe more cash, in a town like NY, PHI, CHI or even Miami, heck just about any city...I think we are seeing the true colors of a spoiled, father-less man-child who's "Mommy" is now Drew Rosenhaus, feeding him spoonfuls of spite and venom. This tactic might have worked for TO and might yet work for CJ but it represents, on many levels, what happens when teams allow for special treatment for "special" players. F that. cincyhokie
Chad, Carson "had your back" all season, as did TJ. Hell, I remember even Mike Brown coming out himself and reassuring the media that Chad was not going to be traded. So who didn't have your back, Chad? Your other teammates? May Guy-check after he went after your fumble that you decided to pout about? *See picture below*The guy has all of the talent in the world but will never get out of the way of himself mentally. HairOnFire
I think he's just trolling for a grand and spectacular show of support from someone within the Bengals organization, either in the form of glowing statements that stroke his ego, or more likely...the renegotiated contract that keeps creeping into every story about Ocho Cinco's future. And for whatever it might be worth, yet another story appeared this morning in the Philadelphia Inquirer about a possible Eagle trade for Chad, no doubt prompted by leaks from Chad's agent. Spor_tees
Mike Brown came out during the season and said he would NEVER trade Chad Johnson and that Chad is his favorite player (which I think is only cause Chad eats cheaply at McDonald's). How can that not be having someone's back? Trade Chad and sign Randy Moss as a free agent...that will take care of that! I didn't know Moss was a free agent after this year until the other day. That might be why he was only traded for a 4th round pick...he only had one year left on his contract. Chad has a few years left, so he wouldn't be a rent for a year player like Moss was. Then again, why would someone trade for Chad this year if they can just go out and sign Moss? This is going to get messier before it gets better. He was pissed off at himself for fumbling the rock and more so for not blowing by the defender for a score.I'm glad Chad's going about it this way. Cincy needs to be exposed to the rest of the country, our fans are some of the biggest bandwaggon/fairweather fans in the world. Cincy has deserted him after one bad season. This city can't handle winning anymore - the 70's and 80's are dead! Chad is one of the GREATEST wr's in the league. Without him, our offense is not the same. I don't think Chad really wants out, he wants a change. MB is the worst thing that ever happened to the Bengals!I've said it before, I'll say it again. Honestly, if I were Chad, I'd want out of this city too. There's absolutely NO love. This is the f**king NFL guys, winning seasons playoffs and Super Bowls aren't easy to come by. If Chad has to go, I'd take no less than Anquan Boldin, L. Fitsgerald, Braylon Edwards, Plaxico Buress, Randy Moss, TO, Steve Smith, Torry Holt or Roy Williams. DC_Bengals_Fan
Out of those 30 teams, how many have actually won a SB in the last 17 years. How many have consistantly made the playoffs? IT AIN'T EASY HOMEY!Here you go: Of the 31 teams other than the Bengals, only the Texans haven't been to the playoffs, and they're an expansion team. Of the other 30, EVERY OTHER TEAM but the Bengals has a playoff win over that 17 year span. ALL of them. Of those 30 who have been to the playoffs, 29 have been at least twice over those 17 years - the only exception is the Arizona Cardinals. If my counting is correct, 21 have been to a Super Bowl, and 25 to a Conference Championship. So yes, 'Homey', the Bengals easily have the worst 17-year stretch in the NFL, and the only pretender to the throne of incompetence - the Bidwells of Arizona - are renowned idiots themselves. In fact, it actually IS easy to have success in the NFL at some point, because the reward for incompetence - in terms of picks and schedule to some extent - is so high. Most teams find a way to take advantage of it. To be as bad as the Bengals, it takes a special kind of Mike Brown stupid, unfortunately.Note it doesn't give me pleasure to point this out, but I'm tired of hearing how hard it is to lead a team to the playoffs every once in a while. whodey_88
Fact is, they are not going to get rid of one the best receivers in the league unless they can replace him with the same kind of talent... not easy to do... not to mention how many more years he has left on his contract, and the big cap hit they would take... Not that I would be against it however though... You see it all the time, great quarterbacks make average wideouts look great...I've also come to this conclusion though... His act was cute a few years ago, but Chad is never going to grow up... Think of how good he'd be if he had Marvin Harrison's or Reggie Wayne's Professionalism...Come on Chad, you're 30 years old.... grow up...
