combatbengal
I'm going with my heart and picking the Bengals. However, if we play them like we played the Jet's we're going to get spanked. We have to come out and play four quarters, not just the last two. We have to shut Ben down. We have to establish the run game early and often. Take the pressure off of the WR's. The Def has to make tackles, and not let the WR's open. We haven't covered anybody this year! You'd think they be a little bit decent seeing that they have to practice against Chad and TJ! ST has to bring thier A game and shane has to keep the ball deep in the end zone. Can't have them returning the ball past the 20. We need to win the 3rd down battle and keep Carson on the field. We can win this one, but we need to come to play.Bengals 24Steelers

Bengals1
We'll win some meaningless games at the end of the year to screw ourselves out of a really good draft pick. For now it's back to reality.Vanillies 31Kitties
HoosierCat
Nah, bengals1, they'll win this game -- something along the lines of 27-24 -- but will blow a couple cupcake contests (like the Rams and the Fins) later in the year to make it meaningless. duus
Even I am overly pessimistic about this one ... 36-17 Steelers. Great, now I will be declared a bad fan by the Urine-goggle-wearers because I am 'not backing' my team. Or we are bad fans because we see our team losing and therefor are rooting for the 'wrong team'. Can't win. If you pick them to win, then they say your are arrogant and cocky for no reason. Shallow. I just hope I am completely wrong about this one.
CJBestInAFC
I don't think the Bengals will win this game. I am not being pessimistic I am just being realistic. I don't know how much the Steelers will win by, but if the Bengals are only going to play defense for 1/2 or a quarter of the game I don't see how the Bengals can win. Bengals need to win the time of possession to win this game. Not exposing the D too long would be my gameplan from the start. You never know, the Bengals could win, but today there is nothing that makes me think the defense will play well in this game. The Bengals have zero pass rush, and Bengina being able to create when protection breaks down for the Steelers it could be another long day for the Bengals secondary. I just hope they get to Ben a couple of times during this game.

kingwilly
Bengals - 31Pitt - 24Reasons:Pitt-OPitt had trouble with Cutler and some decent playcalling/WR play.Bennifer is very sloppy with the ball (fumbles and picks) and their O-line is average.Pitt-DI think Pitt's DB's are weak, relative to CJ/TJ. I think Watson is a variable they might underestimate, and DeDe for that matter.Intangibles:Bengals will be up for the game after the NYJ win.Couple of returning players to bolster the D (Jeanty and to a lesser extent Mays)Brat swallowed his ego and called a balanced game, needs to do the same vs Pitt.Keys to game:Force Pitt to kick FG'sBengals must win TOP (run the ball)Shut down Pitt TE's (this means you Geathers/Landon)Hit Bennifer
BengalszoneBilly
Bengals must win TOP (run the ball)This IMHO will take another monumental game by Kenny Watson, and more importantly the offensive line. If this indeed comes to pass, the Bengals very well may break this six game losing streak at home against the Steelers.
TIMEsteelersfan
King Willie said "Bennifer is very sloppy with the ball (fumbles and picks) and their O-line is average."I hate to be a stickler for details, but Carson has turned the ball over 10 times(9 picks, 1 fumble) and Ben has only turned it over 7 times(5 picks, 2 fumbles). So it's actually your QB who has been sloppy with the football. I do agree on the O-line, kind of. Our pass protection has looked average at times, but our run blocking has been very good.Pittsburgh 37Cincinnati

Our pass protection has looked average at times, but our run blocking has been very good.Pittsburgh 37Cincinnati 20Welcome back TIMEYes, Carson has been sloppy as well. Going back to last year, in games where Ben had 28+ attempts (10 games in 06, 3 in 07) he has thrown 26 INT's. It seems that the stats point to Ben getting more sloppy when forced to throw.I guess what my point is can be shown in Pitt's 2 losses so far, Ben has thrown 4 INT's had 3 fumbles and sacked 8 times. These losses were also road games and were against pretty solid offenses that could score points, forcing Ben to throw more often. The Pitt O-line needs to give Ben enough time to move around. If he get boxed in, he makes mistakes (INTs/Fumbles). The Bengals need to adjust to/disrupt the Pitt blocking scheme that seems to give Ben the option to move out of the pocket if he needs more time. I thought Denver did this pretty well. Clearly, the Pitt O-line has the run block scheme well developed given they are the second rated rushing team in the NFL. BengalChamps
I wish Waterboy was back to chase Tooslisberger around. I hope he is ready to come back next year.Nothing has changed about our D to give me any confidence against the squeelers. Our D will continue to stink until we draft better and get Odell and Waterboy back.Squeelers 28Bengals 10(sigh)
COB
Bengals 24, Steelers 21. I just feel Pittsburgh's confidence beginning to ebb. Considered a top 4 NFL team for the first several weeks, it just seems like the Steelers are feeling a letdown. My confidence sure would be higher if Willie were playing, but still the Bengals go plus 2 on turnovers and win the game. Who Dey!
bwillycuse
Pittsburgh= Most overrated team in NFL. Have beat no one (Seattle never even showed up)Bengals are better than they have played - This is the week that everyone gets off of Pittsburghs jock.Im Pumped and will be even more so when Carson kneels the ball to end the ballgame with the score 34-17.
