skyline
Let's see how the injury situation pans out.If we come back healthy, then I call it a win. As bad as things seem right now, two weeks to prepare for a single team on top of getting some key players back can make a big difference. The real test here is whether or not the coaching staff and leaders in the locker room can hold this team together emotionally. Stripes
It's difficult to beat anyone without any linebackers. We ought to be able to handle the Chiefs, but I won't take the game for granted -- especially not when it's at Arrowhead.
Spor_tees
Larry Johnson's break out game of 2007, 200 yards rushing against the Bengals? The Bengals gave up 117 yards rushing to Sammy Morris a perennial back up runningback, imagine what a guy like LJ is going to do. Adelious Thomas and Cato June sure would be nice right now. volcom69
How about just a disaplined defense or guys who will stay in there gaps or can get off tackles and will play a physical game, then maybe we can talk about a win but right now i think they have to find out who they really are. Why are wishing for players who didn't even think about coming here for a visit? You can't drug guys get them on a plane like the A-Team used to do with Mr. T, guys have to want to come here and neither of those guys did, so why are wishing we could have players who didn't want to be apart of your favorite team. Atleast wish for Brooks to get healthy or Jeanty or even Pollack, not guys who didn't want to be apart of the team. So I see that 90% of Bengals fans are delousional. I think once the Bengals decided to franchise Justin Smith, they knew they didn't have enough cap room for these guys so they didn't even bother. My point was the Bengals decision to keep Smith over going after one of these guys. Cato June wasn't even a top tier contract yet he has become a leader to replace the locker room presence lost in Simeon Rice.

Cato June wasn't even a top tier contract yet he has become a leader to replace the locker room presence lost in Simeon Rice.Cato f**king June are kidding me!! First off Derrick Brooks is the leader on that defense, not Simeon Rice or Cato June. Cato June signed a 3 year /17 million dollar deal, which breaks down to about 5.6 million annually, so far he's made 14 tackles which is about 3.5 per game. If you think that Cato June is going to make our defense into a top 10 unit then you are off your rocker, he's a solid playerm, just that. The way FA works is players have an idea of were they want to go for whatever reasons, their agents will use teams that they really have no intentions of signing with as tools to drive up the price. Why would the Bengals even get involved in a bidding war for a player who doesn't want to be apart of the team? Why waste money on a guy who everyone knows is just using you? I'm sure if Cato June wanted to be a Bengal he would be one, and a 3 year 17 million dollar deal is hardly peanuts, that's over 5 million a year which is more than what 90% of the players on the team make. Spor_tees
5 Million dollars a year isn't as much as you think in the NFL nowadays. Isn't Justin Smith's contract for like 9 million? that's almost twice as much as June's. I'd much rather have 2 players like June than one Justin Smith. HoosierCat
Right now, I wouldn't give you a nickel for their chances. Our D will no doubt make Huard look like Montana and LJ like...well, LJ. Meanwhile, outside of the Cleveland game out O has struggled to get anything going consistently. And on top of all that, the locker room -- depending on your point of view -- has or is threatening to fracture into a million pieces. Point is, by looking at the Bengal's roster how many guys would you take over Cato June? He has more experience than Brooks, he stays healthier than Landon, and he is just plain better than Jeanty. Don't even mention Miller in this argument.
