walzav29
I am hoping that Tab Perry can step up and give the spark that Henry does. I just don't feel like Henry can be counted on. He is great, and Carson has great chemistry with him. If Henry stays good, then the timing will be perfect. Oops! There I go day dreaming again. membengal
No problem for me. He's been working hard to do the right things for a long time now. He wears my team's laundry. He's talented. I look forward to seeing him make the most of his fifth chance.

Henry has/is paying his debt to the NFL, the US court system has punished him, when he's able to return he should be forgiven and put all of his bad behavior in the past, allow him to move on to bigger and better things. WhoDey93285
I love Chris Henry the football player. He is one of those players who has the potential to take over a game- a la Randy Moss. So I am estatic for him to get back on the field.Chris Henry the person is a little sketchy though, and he makes me a little nervous. agreen_112
Not at all. I believe his string of bad choices and extremely bad luck are a thing of the past. I look forward to Henry's return now more than anything, this offense needs all the help it can get. I hope everyone can forget about the past and move forward when he returns. Chris has too much to loose, this team really cares about him and I'm sure he's realized that. I trust that Chris will stay clean from hear on out. princeton
Henry's absence allows the Bengals to give more reps to the offense's missing link: the dependable third down guy. Now, who wants to be that missing link? Don't be so shy. Step right up.
cincy9275
nope i can wait for henry to return. as for perry the bengals just resigned chatman. i think that maybe the bengals are starting to lose confidence in perry.
HairOnFire
I'm not the least bit uncomfortable at the thought of cheering Henry when he returns. In fact, the only thing that has consistently made me feel uncomfortable during "dis thing of ours" is how quickly some of us are willing to ruin a young persons life. In short, I want to keep alive any opportunity for this story to have a happy ending. So I'll cheer Chrisloudly while at the same time hoping that he really did get it. kingwilly
Hopefully Cheech can grow up and be Chris Henry, the adult. On the field, I have no worries. In pre-season, he had no issues with his play. I cannot think of why it would not carry-over into Week 9.It is all on Chris to manage his transition from the dis-respectful adolescent that has problems with authority to the responsible adult who has a team/co-workers counting on him. membengal
I'm glad my team is known more for Henry's antics than its coaches outright cheating.There. I said it.What NE has done is far, far, far worse in terms of integrity and stain on league than Henry or the rest of the Bengals' arrests... ShulaSteakhouse
If Henry can stay on the field, he has the potential to be as good or better than any Bengals' WR in franchise history. Obviously Chad will keep his #'s down ultimately, but, he's that good.If he can make it through two months of the season without football and plenty of free time - he can surely make it through the rest of the season with football keeping him busy (and tired hopefully). Cross fingers.Carson desperately needs a #3 option in the passing game.I don't know where Tab's head is, but at this point, after 4 more disconnects Monday night with him, I have a hard time blaming Carson for it. Perry just doesn't look like the same player as last season.I assume that's one of the reasons they signed Chatman again, they are getting nothing out of the #3 spot - I hope they move Green into that position next and give someone else a shot, other than Tab, who frankly has looked terrible this entire year. ArmyBengal
Uncomfortable with his return ?? Only if you don't like to have a 6'5 speed demon, with great hands, who spreads the field, and makes Chad and TJ even MORE dangerous... Am I uncomfortable with that ?? Not in the least !!! I've been saying forever that, while he may be one of the dumbest players in the NFL, this guy is a #1 WR on many teams in the NFL. There is no way a fan of this team doesn't want a "player" of that caliber making this offense a bigger threat while throwing the ball...WHODEY !!! Stripes
Hell yeah I'm excited about Henry's return. Against that second half schedule, the Bengals will be in position to make whatever run they may need to make.
redsfan2
My only concern is that he's still in football shape and still has his timing down. He had a series of stupid but minor brushes with the law. He wasn't in the league of PacMan Jones or Tank Johnson, or anywhere near Ron Mexico ..... so no. I 've got no problem with being glad when his suspension has been served and he's back catching 60 yd Palmer rainbows for 6. Doubt that other AFC North fans feel the same way, but if I were them ... I wouldn't want to see him back either.Sucks to be THEM huh!

This scandal by New Engloand far eclipses ANYTHING ANYONE associated with the Bengals has done, because it effects the very soul of this game we know as the NFL. Kazkal
Well I can't wait because we are much better team with him,but I think tab will be fine in a week or 2...After he get's timing ripping up the Browns & seahawks crappy defenses hopfully he'll be rdy enough to take on the pats....if not mybe eagles will trade us schobel back

walzav29
Are you telling me that you are all for Pac-Man getting another chance? You aren't worried about "another bengal" arrested story going into the playoffs? When he is playing well I love it, I just don't like all of the distractions that a habitual offender can bring. If he doesn't get arrested again, then great. What a push for the playoffs. If he can be a good boy.
HoosierCat
I don't think Henry = Pacman, at least in terms of "repeat offender" threat. Pacman is what Chad would be if Chad were an a$$hole. A complete me-me-me jerk. Henry OTOH didn't seem (to me at least) to be about that, but rather a dumb, irresponsible kid who didn't get that life in the NFL meant you had to grow up some.Everything I've seen in terms of him staying out of trouble, and how he came in and worked hard in camp and the preseason even though he was going on suspension, points to someone who has gotten the proverbial message. If you believe the alleged bengals insider who posts infrequently on the mikebrownsucks.com boards as BB76, Henry has indeed changed. The guy says his hoodlum buds appear to be in much shorter supply these days, and that his family has stepped in to help keep him on the straight and narrow. I have no idea if that is true but have seen nothing to suggest it isn't.Henry could still blow up on us again...but yeah, I feel better about his chances of not doing so than I did a few months ago. HairOnFire
Are you a defense attorney in real life? Yeah, Henry's a choir boy and some mean man just keeps ruining his life. Gimme a f***ing break. You might have a point if I'd ever called Chris Henry a choir boy. But since I haven't done any such thing I think it's clear that all you're doing is making a strange noise....sorta like air escaping from a balloon. For whatever it might be worth, the question being asked in the thread title isn't being directed at me as I've been amazingly consistent during the now prolonged character rants. The question is directed at the hand wringers who climbed atop the nearest soap box demanding that Henry be sacrificed. And this is where you wave to the crowd. HoosierCat
From our f2fa.com Browns partner comes this from Chad...(On how not having WR Chris Henry affects their offense)- “It affects us a lot. He is one of our playmakers, one of our big playmakers at that. He is (suspended) eight weeks – hopefully it’s four once the appeal goes in and he hurries up to get back and going after that bye week, going into Kansas City and we get him back. But right now we have some great depth at wide receiver and they’re going to have to pick it up.”http://www.dawgbones.com/phBB//viewtopic.php?t=7564"hopefully it’s four once the appeal goes in"
