rhaines
I don't know who is the most cheesiest of all dorks in the whole world. Allen Cutler or Lance McAllister. These guys are so dorky they make me want to vomit. Certainly we can do better than these fruit cakes. Yeah,Yeah.. Lance is prepared and knows his stuff... Whatever, that does not make him any less of a cheeseball. I can't stand either of these dumbasses

DC_Bengals_Fan
I don't know which is more surprising - that he finally got fired for *that*, or that he actually made it this far. I haven't listened to WLW regularly for over 10 years, kind of assumed he'd have gotten himself canned years ago.Long overdue. Maybe his replacement can prove that being a jackass isn't a prerequisite for getting ratings?

Someone you would want to have a beer with maybe. These guys blow. If Allen Cutler says, " n-kay" one more time I'm gonna puke. Lance needed to smoke a little weed in his 20's. That would have taken a little "dork" out of him IMO. His nickname is perfect "the goober". What more can you say?

membengal
Superb news. Nothing ruined a drive home on XM like flipping on WLW for sports talk and being assualted by Furman. I would marvel, 10 years after I left Ohio for TN, that he still had a job. He always was the lowest form of slime. McAlister is outstanding, I dial him up on the 'net at work. If they go that direction, the s**tty thing will be that he no longer as the 3-6 slot on 1530.

bengal4life
Lance is kind of a nerd, but I like how informative he is. One of Lance's lines that gets on my nerves is "OH, WOW." He says it at least 10-15 times an hour it seems.
bengalskyspy
I am glad they fired that know-nothing blow-hard Furman. He was the least informative of any sports talk host in the city. I think his idol was Bill Cunningham. He should not have thrown TJ under the bus the way he did, even if TJ was late. That stuff needs to be kept internal. What a jackball. But for God's sake please get rid of Seg Dennison. The guy not only has a face for radio, he can't speak either. What a joke.
DesperateDerelict
WLW fires Andy Furman over remark about TJGOOD RIDDANCE! He was a shameless self-promoter & sensationalist, & WLW lost me as a listener years ago with the Fur-ball.If nothing else, removing him from that exceptional slot on the most powerful transmitter in the midwest might improve the IQ of "The Big One's" listeners . . . . .nah! Jonboat
Count me in as one of those who's glad his gone, I used to listen all the time but got tired of hearing him yell & hang up on anybody that disagreed with him after that I'd only tune in every now & then. I recall hearing him talk about Ken Griffey Jr when he was slumping so I kept listening to see where it was going since he was saying he had info & there was a very good reason why he was struggling @ the plate but JR told him in confidence & Furball said he couldn't discuss it on the airwaves. Well they come back from a break & he talks about the news of JRs mothers cancer I thought that was pretty low ( Mb he called JR for permission) .I also caught the TJ thing & he lost me when he said he wasn't going to use the airwaves as a weapon then again come back from a break continues his tirade against TJ calling him a racist.I loved it when an employee called & called Furball out saying Furball& TJ was in his office earlier that day & supposedly worked things out prior to the show Furball went off !! I have been listenening again since the Segman has been on & probably will continue to now that I know Furball is not coming back.I like Lance but hate that he spends so much time talking about TV shows & can't stand the freaking techo music when coming from a break damn that's annoying seems to play for 5 mins!! Wraith
Andy lost me after he called for all Muslims to be deported after Hakeem Olajuwan ran a full page ad. asking americans not to judge all Muslims for the actions of a few who try to use the religion to grab power though fear. I felt in the aftermath of 9-11 it was incredibily irresponsible and dangerous to incite radio listeners just to promote ratings. Now I am not of the Islamic faith but I have read the Qur'an and nowhere can I find passages that tell followers to kill people of other beliefs just vague passages that tell followers to "protect your religion" which can be interpreted as "stand up for yourself". These passages are being misrepresented in the same way as the bible was misrepresented that it was ok to torture and kill non-believers during the crusades and the inquisition. For a talk show host to get on the air and promote segregation and potentially violence against a group of people to me was unforgivable and I have refused to listen to Furman since that point. MacD BengalFan
I have never heard this guy but based on what I have read, he deserved what he got. But here is the sad thing; some radio station with bad ratings will take a chance on him due to his shock value and proven ratings in Cincy. So expect to hear his ignorace and arrogance on some radio station soon, I just hope it is not on any of the stations I listen to.
agreen_112
Furman's an idiot, I'm glad he lost his job! I've only listened to him a handful of times, just about as much as I could stand...

But if you're looking for a guy that brings up and chats on a conversation -- i.e. sports talk like the past 20 years -- then Lance wouldn't fit. And I HATE it when Lance continually cuts people off when they have a dissenting view. I like the guy, but don't think he'd fit in Sports Talk. Leave him where he is. He's doing just fine there.
