BengalszoneBilly
I'm going to go with honking the defense's horn today, although Carsons pass gave the momentum to the Bengals! You da man Kevin!
ArmyBengal
There needs to be an "All of the above"...Both were absolutely HUGE for us, but wow, what a great pass and catch call on 4th and 1 !!! Yes, I'm giving KK credit today people, I was loving the pick !!!WHODEY !!!
rishipatel
I had to go with KK. We've come to have some expectation that the offense can make plays like the one to Chad, but who of all of us would ever expect the D to come up with a huge play like that with the game on the line? Good work today pulling things together in the second half. And kudos to the D for keeling the team in the game while the offense got it sh*t together. It's just nice to start a new week with that positive feeling. WHO-DEY!

Casey
I went with KK because that int sealed the game. The catch by Chad was awesome though and gave the Bengals the "mo" they needed to win the game. A big "shout out" to Brat as well, for having the guts to make that call on 4th and 1. It was a beautiful thing to see.
Stripes
I went with the 4th down play. I think that play fed momentum to the rest of the team until the final tick of the clock.
JaxonFord87
I also went with the fourth down play. Without it, an interception by kk wouldn't have ment as much to me.

If the Bengals don't take the lead on that drive, then the int. may never have happened. If so, it certainly wouldn't have "sealed" the game. Ox
Just got back from the game, and wow. That 4th and 1 was balls out by Brat. I was floored.
BlainThePain
I went with the INT. The announcer also said that was the first time Delhomme threw an INT in the endzone as a Panther.
schweinhart
Both huge plays. Chad's catch was nothing less than spectacular even though it's nothing unusual for him. K2 got it right on the pick and it's obviously a good thing he did because that in all likelihood would have been the ballgame by forcing the Bengals to have to drive for a TD with under 4 minutes to go.But the Bengals had a whole lot of help from the Panthers to get this win.Biggest play on Panthers offense that helped the Bengals probably was the 1st play of the game when Steve Smith dropped the ball on a slant with a blitz picked up. He catches that pass and there would've been a good chance that he'd have had a 82 yd TD.Biggest play on Panthers D was no doubt the dropped pick by Ken Lucas on a red zone throw by Palmer down the sideline to Kelly that was so bad Moose Johnston pretty much summed it up: "I have no idea what Carson Palmer saw on that play." The blown pick gave the Bengals a big time 2nd chance and they got the TD to tie at 7 a couple plays later.
HoosierCat
But the Bengals had a whole lot of help from the Panthers to get this win.Well, that's one way of looking at it. It's borderline bogus, though, IMHO. Look around the NFL this week and I guarantee that you will find dozens of dropped passes, just-missed picks and other woulda-coulda-shoulda plays. The team that wins is usually the one that makes a few key plays, while the one that loses fails to take advantage of opportunities.Bengals were the better team today. Tasher
On 4th and 1, even a dump down will pick up that 1st, so the deep throw was not critical and it did not put points up, they were well on the way.Sure was pretty, guttsy, awesome!BUT, KK's interception in the end zone turned the game and kept a W in the correct column. Period. THAT was the play of the game.
ChadJohnson-85
I have to go with the deep one to CJ on 4th & 1. I thought that Palmer was gonna do a QB sneek or hand off to JJ or something but when I saw him throw the deep one to CJ I just like froze! All the coulda-woulda-shouldas are part of the game but this game was as ugly a Bengals performance on offense as I've seen in years at its outset. It was didn't-didn't-didn't-didn't get a 1st down on possessions and almost didn't get 1 for a 5th straight until Chris Perry came through with a quick hitter from the slot for a 1st down.No question the Panthers were the worse team yesterday because they failed to capitalize on the Bengals early futility on offense. If they had -- and the next team might if such ineptitude on offense surfaces again -- the game could've just as easily been 28-0 at the half. membengal
Oh schweinhart, so glass-half-empty....Yeah, the first four series were sucky, but they also took care of the ball, didn't turn it over, and aparently learned enough from the initial 12 plays to make some adjustments and, from the mid-2nd quarter on, pretty much dictate that game to Carolina.Let's not lose sight of that in the rush to wallow in the bad first four series... schweinhart
No wallowing intended. Just the point, if they perform that way again to start a game, they may not be so lucky next time. At least vs. the Pats they were able to move the ball early even if they only ended up with 13 points. The Bucs, not quite so good but better than last week on their way to another 13 point effort. Vs. the Panthers, nothing to start with and not a 1st down until midway through the 2nd Q. Yes, they did start to put it together and they will conitnue to do so but they only scored 17 points. So we got:13 points13 points17 pointsThat glass really needs to get filled up with a whole lot more points. agreen_112
Great poll! I was thinking the same thing. Chad's catch was definitely the play of the game. If he droppped that we would've most likely lost the game. Then again if KK wouldn't have dropped back in coverage and got the pick we wouldv'e lost too. Both plays were phenominal but Chad catch was HUGe..

The Bengals were the better team yesterday... but mostly because of the defense. There is the possibility that the offense doesn't get on a roll, and we score 0 first half points if the Panthers D doesn't give us a few 1st downs on penalties.Yep... that's part of the game, and we took advantage of it (That might be what we do best... take advantage of opportunities). But our offense was so hopelessly out of sync, and there was nothing we could do to get in sync because we were playing 3 downs, and then sitting on the sidelines for a few minutes. Without those 1st downs, we don't get into rhythm... and just maybe we're sitting here continuing to wonder what's wrong with the offense. Thanks Carolina! HairOnFire
K2's play was the most important in the entire game. He's too modest to talk smack after the fact, but he took one step towards the flat receiver...baiting the QB to throw the ball...and then got into position so quickly that the pick was such an easy grab that the receiver couldn't break the play up. Let Keyshawn Johnson whine like the bitch he's always been, but that wasn't an example of a Bengal player getting dumb lucky. It was an example of the defender outsmarting and outplaying the opposition, and it's the reason the Bengals won the game. And without that play Carolina either scores the TD they were expecting or settles for an easy FG that would have tied the game and completely negated the earlier impact of making it on 4th and 1. HoosierCat
That glass really needs to get filled up with a whole lot more points. Yeah, but you can see it coming. The whole issue was getting some semblance of play out of the offensive line, and that finally started to happen in the second half. They still aren't at the level they were with Braham and Levi, but the second half was probably the best two quarters the line's strung together in three or four weeks. And you saw Rudi and Carson pick it up as a result.
HairOnFire
I gotta tell ya', it cracks me up that more than 62% of the voters picked a play that came with nearly 9 minutes left in the game. I guess no more proof will be required that the Bengals are an offensive franchise first and foremost...or that Dexter Jackson was dead on when he said that fans of this team rarely bother cheering for the defense. BlainThePain
One great thing that 4th and 1 deep pass will do for our team is that every team will have to look out for it when they call a defense for short-yardage plays for the rest of the season.
