PMThor
ESPN is reporting that T.O. is being induced to vomit at the hospital. That leads some to believe that T.O. may have overdosed on something, or took something that he shouldn't have.I feel like a news source tonight... PMThor
I don't understand why they were trying to induce vomiting though if it was an adverse reaction to pain meds. That doesn't seem to be normal SOP. Oh well, wasn't there, don't know.

Very interesting...maybe Parcells finally got to him and showed how much he could have had if he would have kept his mouth shut!Yeah, right.... membengal
Fair enough, but to put a Bengals spin on this, there is ZERO chance of the Thurman arrest becoming a national story this week now. None. All focus will be in Dallas for the foreseeable future...
Tasher
Not to mention that a SD Charger (not Foley) was arrested for drug possession, drug trafficking, etc. etc. by the DEA.http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/6005700Well, at least we do not have the DEA, the FBI or the CIA investigating any Bengals, it is only local law enforcement organizations! agreen_112
DALLAS -- Flamboyant Dallas Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens attempted suicide by overdosing on pain medication, even putting two more pills into his mouth after fire rescue personnel arrived, The Associated Press reported Wednesday citing a police report.A Dallas police report released Wednesday morning said Owens told a friend "that he was depressed." The report was first released by WFAA-TV.The friend, who is not identified in the report, "noticed that [his] prescription pain medication was empty and observed [Owens] putting two pills in his mouth," the police report said. The friend attempted to pry them out with her fingers, then was told by Owens that before this incident he'd taken only five of the 40 pain pills in the bottle he'd emptied. Owens was asked by rescue workers "if he was attempting to harm himself, at which time [he] stated, 'Yes.'"If this is true, that's pretty damn wild. We all knew that he was looney tuney, but not this crazy....
PMThor
This just doesn't sound right. Why, if he tried to commit suicide, did they release him hours afterwards? Did they release him to the care of a private physician?I know that here in Cincy, if you bring in a patient who has admitted to a suicide attempt, there is an automatic 72 hour hold put on them for psychological observation. I wonder why they don't have anything like that in Dallas.
ShulaSteakhouse
I am so tired of Terrell Owens. So tired. I just don't care what he does, I really don't. But, he's ESPN's obsession so it's in your face 24/7.The guy just wants attention and is a psychological mess.I hardly feel sorry for him. Look at A-rod, he's an admitted psycho and is in treatment now. He's got the chance to go to the world series. If this is true, I hope the best for T.O., even though I don't agree with a lot of s**t that he has done.

We won't hear anything "official" about this now. Legally, they cannot release any info without T.O.s permission. That won't happen, so this is the end of the story. Whoever released that report though could legally get charged with a crime, because that falls under HIPPA laws. Anything dealing with a medical condition of a patient is covered by HIPAA. I know that they quote the police report on it, but it shouldn't have been released originally. If he wanted to, T.O. does have a pretty open and shut case if he wanted to pursue it. They cannot release ANY medical info on a patient. Under no circumstances can they do so.
Kirkendall
OK, I think this is very telling about Terrell Owens.I'm not an apologist or anything. But this goes against everything we know about T.O. I understand some of you are tired of antics and all I can offer is to just ignore it and move on. But he committing suicide means he didn't like what was going on. People that have been friends and spoken to TO personally all suggest a much different side to TO. That he's calm and relaxed and what you see on TV is nothing more than entertainment... but most say, that's not TO. OK, TO is an idiot and I think he's very much an egomaniac. I think he tends to think that the world revolves around him. However, what I assume (yea, ASS-U-ME, I get it) is that he never wanted this. It got out of hand, but at the beginning it benefited him. I think this is just sad sad. Any time someone tries to commit suicide just means they've given up, unable to deal, adapt, or change their current circumstances. But, to me at least, this news about TOs suicide attempt, really changes a lot of things we think we know about him. Yes, he made his own bed. Yes, he should sleep in it. But I don't know. I just think this changes, at least for me, my perception of who TO, the man, really is. He’s still a kid in need of guidance. agreen_112
well put kirk, but why would he give up? Maybe his chase for the SB ring can be compared to that of the LOTR trilogy, it made him go nuts!

agreen_112
I guess they're calling it an "accidental overdose." Something just doesn't seem right about this.
