The_Next_Big_Thing
So, who's willing to admit that when TJ was coming back from his injury they were one of the ones calling for him to be cut?
ShulaSteakhouse
Don't see Chad on that list - he might want to put that on his "checklist" - as I think it would be more worthwhile. He should spend less time pouting and storming off the field, and yelling at coaches, and promoting himself, and more time concentrating on catching passes a top 5 WR should be catching. I see Gonzalez, Smith and Harrison on that list along with TJ - maybe Chad should worry about joining them if no one can stop him.

redsbengalsbucks
Sorry TNBT, I have been a TJ fan since the very beginning. I'm glad to see him get some respect it is long over due.
Wraith
I'll admitt to calling for him to be cut after he missed all of Marvin's first year, and I am glad he makes personnel decisions not me
HairOnFire
I've also seen a version of that list that shows the bottom 10 and the thing that stood out to me was two Ravens made the list, Mark Clayton and Todd Heap.

turningpoint
LOL CJ is probably not even in the top 100.
ChadJohnson-85
CJ aint on that list because he had to talk smack all year so he could be double covered and drop passes all season.
Stripes
C'mon now Chad isn't THAT bad. Yeah, he drops the ball too much, but give the three time Pro Bowler some slack! It's great to see T.J. leading this category. The best possession receiver in the NFL? BengalByTheBay
This isn't a case of TJ all-the-sudden being better than CJ. It's a net win for both. While I'd agree that CJ drops too many catchable balls, I also believe that he's the home run threat. You don't really want even your home run threat to drop the ball, but I've seen CJ make catches that defy belief. He can make the spectacular catch and drop the easy one. TJ is a "possession" receiver whose job is to make the catch, be reliable and move the chains. They have different and complimentary roles that they both do really, frickin well. There's room for improvement with both, but it's good to see a meaningful stat that confirms kinda what we all probably felt about TJ.Also, for the record, I wasn't going to jump out a window if TJ was let go two years ago. I'm totally cool with saying he has well exceeded my expectations the past two seasons. I'm glad I underestimated him and that he's still around. Yeah, he drops the ball too much, but give the three time Pro Bowler some slack! It's great to see T.J. leading this category. The best possession receiver in the NFL?TJ's definitely a top 3 #2 WR IMO, he'll get his due over time. My problem with CJ is that unless you can back up that kind of self-promotion and whining with close to perfect performances evey week - then he needs to work on his game.I know it isn't his style, to criticize himself in public or admit he has things to work on/improve, but what bothers me are his tantrums - Dillonesque.I appreciate the fact he is so competitive and wants to be great - believe me I love Chad just like any other Bengals' fan - but he has no room to show up ANY QB if he's dropping so many catchable passes, relatively speaking.I actually would be much more tolerant of his tantrums if he caught everything that came his way and was better running after catch (he's at least improved there). But until then he has no place calling other teammates out for mistakes when he is just as guilty. I'd like to see him pick his teammates up rather than cause a distracting ruckus with the coaches at half time of a playoff game or storm off the field, literally crying. kingwilly
I admit to wanting to cut him...kep in mind, this was when P-Dub had started to emerge, KWash seemed like he could come forward with Kitna and TJ could not get healthy...I'm not sure I questioned his abilities, it was more of keeping a guy around who is always hurt. Stripes
read where Chatman caught 49 passes with 1 drop.. Why isnt he on the list ????Could be wrong, but I think it was 49 passes thrown to him, not completions. He may not have had enough catches to qualify for the list. jditty47
chad dropped more balls than he usually does last year. he'll get it back to where he was a couple years ago and before. he made some easy drops if u recall...
Spain
those are all receivers with high percentage passes. Not fair to judge CJ like that. He doesnt go across the middle.
