What about Kerry Collins

I think Collins is mulling retirement, as well

That's the report. Allegedly, he'd be willing to stay in and play in Baltimore (due to his connection with Jim Fassel). But per reports on PFT, the Ravens are holding off on talking with him because they have their eye on McNair. The Titans may have to release him to sign their rooks.

After they kicked him out of their training facility the other day, stating the contract had to get finalized before he would be welcome, i'd say him leaving is a foregone conclusion...

WHODEY !!!

Love that movie

"I'm BLOODY WELSH"

What the heck was that kicker's name? Oh, and when do we get to draft the Sumo lineman?

His first name is Nigel, can't remember the rest, ask Falco

Gruff... Nigel Gruff.

Seriously, of the list of potential veteran backup qb's out there ... why in the world would anyone not put Collins at the top of the list (facial blemishes aside)? Just take a moment to compare his experience and success to the others. Not a contest to me. Beyond Collins, as much as it pains me, I then look to Harrington, if only because he showed some efficiency and success in his game against the Steelers last December. Heck, that success might be enough for me. Still pains me, nonetheless.

I think we should just play what we got and look for a value pick QB in the draft. Carson will be back on time.

I can't say about Carson, but I do agree that best option now looks to be a draft pick. I think there will be a lot of very solid late round options at QB who could hold the fort down while we wait for Carson and provide a long term backup option.

Hmm... Carson Palmer was the #1 overall draft pick, waited a year to play, and had 1/1 TD/INT ratio. A late round rookie QB to start the season would be dumber than letting Krenzel play.

No way... if we can't get someone who started last year, we'll have to get Martin. We need someone with SOME experience, so he knows how not to make mistakes. If we can't get anyone like that... we'll have to go with Krenzel... because a rookie will go 0-4 to start the season.

I think Krenzel would go 0-4 too. I don't think this discussion matters honestly. No Carson for four games = no playoffs.
