Still it makes me wonder is he hard balling us? We all knew he would have to come cheap. He just lost alot of Money. He might go for the cash dont get me wrong. However if I was him I would be thinking ahead and try to get a one year deal where he can get some leverage.

There were reports (originating in the Washington Post) earlier today that LaVar was talking with the Giants again. It would make sense; way back when he first got out of D.C, the word was that his preference was to stay on the East Coast, and in the NFCE (which pretty much trimmed the teams down to NYG and Philly) so that he could crap on Dan Snyder and the 'Skins twice a year.

I cant blame him he took it up the arse finanicaly. Still he guy should have thoughtblong term. For example Kitna, a scheme guy leaves one hen all of a sudden he sucks! Players are so quick to go for the imediate gratification. Frankly if he wants the money do you really want him?

Giants | Team will visit with C. Brown

Wed, 5 Apr 2006 18:45:06 -0700

Bob Glauber, of Newsday, reports while talks with free agent LB LaVar Arrington (Redskins) remain at a standstill, the New York Giants plan to bring in another outside linebacker to add depth at the position. Free agent LB Chad Brown (Patriots) is expected to visit with the Giants shortly. "We're going to talk (Thursday) and set up a visit," Brown's agent, Peter Schaefer, said Wednesday, April 5. "Chad is very excited about meeting with the staff. There are no absolutes or definites, but we'll see what happens."

No word yet on how much the contract's going to be? If the Jints give him the Julian Peterson money he's supposedly seeking, they can have him.

He's not likely to get big bucks from the Giants. Despite being a "big market" team, they aren't a big revenue team. Most prominently, they don't have a big-bucks sports palace; Giants Stadium is an older venue and on top of that they share it with the Jets. That's currently supposed to change, with the Meadowlands Complex slated to undergo a massive renovation to produce "Xanadu": a (no pun intended) giant complex that will include, among other things, a new stadium; retail, hotel and office space; and an indoor ski dome. However, the builder has massive financial troubles, has had to pull out of several other projects around the country, and is under investigation by the SEC, so whether this "stately pleasure dome" ever actually gets built is anyone's guess.

The Giants spent fairly lavishly last year and as a result don't have a great deal of cap space this year. Giants GM Ernie Accorsi said earlier this year that they would not be big FA players. Bottom line is that if LaVar goes to the Jints it won't be for big bucks, but for the chance to tweak the Skins.

I haven't read any of the threads on Lavarr, but I don't know why everyone wants this guy soo bad. I'm glad the Bengals didn't sign him. Our linebackers are good. Pollack, Simmons, Thurman, Landon, Miller, Navies. That's no slouch. Don't get me wrong, Lavarr is definitley an upgrade, but I'd rather spend that money on extensions for the O-line.

Bengals are headed in the right direction. For the past two years, we wanted to land a good DT in free agency. The bad luck was a blessing in disguise becuase I would much rather have, Adams over Darry Gardner or Warren Sapp.

We can pick up a LB in the draft with either the 3nd or 4rd pick.

The moves the Bengals made this offseason are smart moves. Picking up Dexter and Sam means that we don't necessarily have to address these positions with the first pick.

I'm satisfied with the starting defense. Geathers/Pollack, J.Smith, Shaun Smith, Sam Adams, Thurman, Simmons, Pollack/Johnson, James, Oneal, Williams, Jackson.........I like it

Therefore the Bengals will take:

1st pick Lenord Pope

2nd pick Claude Wroten

3rd pick CB/SSor LB

4th pick LB

5th pick DE
