  1. I get that, but there are other guys on the PS who havent seen a nfl min check (Browning already has, at last once) in positions where they might need to see the field. even if only on special teams ah well, that second spot is probably an inactive anyway, though I will bet an entire dollar that Prince will be active
  2. I am still all in on pass rush, especially if it is interior, but a blue chip edge rusher would be fine OL, outside CB, WR, cover LB all on the table for r2 and later
  3. Isaiah I get Browning, not so much. Elevate a corner or linebacker
  4. Yes, but he wont be at 100%
  5. I saw three beautiful words a few minutes ago that has me beaming ear to ear I now share those three words with you https://www.cincyjungle.com/2023/1/27/23574787/bengals-chiefs-injury-report-travis-kelce-news-patrick-mahomes-mecole-hardman
  6. Be safe, AB and ABjr Dont forget the burnt ends at LC's :-)
  7. very glad to hear Flowers went full Thursday after limited on Weds got to contain Kelce
  8. Thank you, Mr Willie Gay https://www.cincyjungle.com/2023/1/26/23573002/chiefs-news-willie-gay-nothing-about-bengals-offense-is-impressive-joe-burrow as DJ Reader has said, "Motivation is free but we always appreciate a little extra"
  9. Interesting piece on Carman by Sheeran, pretty fair assessment I think https://www.cincyjungle.com/2023/1/26/23569740/bengals-film-room-jackson-carman-left-tackle-nfl-playoffs I continue to struggle with the football versus person piece of this. Getting a quality young OLT while Burrow is here is a H U G E plus, particularly with Jonah struggling and near the end of his contract I do get that, and ya'all know I am Mister GIMME A LINEMAN but but but you know the rest, no need to repeat,,,,,its in the article as well
  10. The number under the cap is always a bit misleading to me, as the number largely depends on expired contracts, meaning yeah, you're not paying player x, but you will have to pay someone to play that spot. So you really dont have 50M (or whatever number) available to go get upgrades - you have to spend a large part of that just to stay even to where you are (or were). A good example is Pratt. You have to fill Pratt's spot. Hopefully with Pratt :-), but he's expressed some dissatisfaction lately so I expect he is leaving. You probably wont be able to sign an equivalent, but you still need to spend 3-7M of that 50 on the replacement, even understanding said replacement probably wont be as good as Pratt.
  11. If we look at this from a production vs pay standpoint, the one I start to look at is Boyd and I love Boyd. I really do. but he's a three (a really good 3) or maybe even a 4 if you consider Hurst right now, with production that is starting to fall off, and a 10.3M cap hit in 2023 (final year of his contract) so many good players I really like on this team. as has been said, cant keepem all hard decisions ahead
  12. I am hoping Hurst, who says he is finally being used correctly here, will take a discount to stay. I'd rather not spend a high draft pick on a TE....we need pass rush and pass blockers instead I hate how Apple runs his mouth but if he will take CB4 money with incentives, I'd like him to stay
  13. I expect the Bengals to gameplan for a fully functional Mahomes, with adjustments planned in advance if the sprain gets aggravated, ie dont have to spy him as much if so I am pumped to hear that Flowers is practicing as he will have the ginormous task that is containing Kelce Hopefully we win the game and the two weeks after will give Cappa and/or Jonah enough time to be good to go.
  14. we're counting on you, Stripes might as well offer Jobu in some extra top-shelf rum for Jonah as well dont forget the hand rolled cuban cigars Im just worried that he'll want potato cakes from Arbys
  15. ah wait, he added this to his own thread so I take that as both went full :-) if so, O U T S T A N D I N G
  16. Is there an update on whether he went limited or full? I did check the Goldsmith feed, nothing there, was hoping you might have another source Need Flowers back bigtime to handle Kelce
  17. From the snap counts against the Bills, it looks like they are counting on Dax to be the 4th outside corner instead of Alan George. 6 snaps for Dax at corner, I am guessing on 4 wideout looks Did the Bills run any 5 WR plays?
  18. I think every corner gets burned every now and then, and Apple is no exception, but overall, I do like him as a player I emphasize player but I do not like it when he runs his mouth. No need to supply motivation to other teams. Yeah, he waited til after the game to pile onto the Bills players, but we play them next year and his blather will be posted all over that locker room during the week of that game. He's writing a check that the rest of the team will pay for I do want him re-signed. I do. I think you need 3 solid outside corners, and he is that solid number 3 guy after Chido and CTB But please please please someone get him to shut the fuck up and just play
  19. you been talkin' to COB again, havent ya? :-) good one
  20. I am well :-) hey man nice shot, what a nice shot man I still think Spain could help us.....not gonna change my mind in that regard :-)
  21. Karras will play, no doubt in my mind Cappa and Williams would be a surprise if they are well enough to play this weekend We are fortunate to be getting good quality play from 3 backups I know Carman played well at OLT vs the Bills, but I really believe he's gonna be wrecked by the Chiefs. I hope I am wrong. If I was running the show, I'd be starting Adeniji at OLT and Prince at ORT. I fully accept that some folks will disagree and say Carman worked, so dont fix what aint broke
  22. It looks like we can fund Army and ArmyJr's trip to KC with Stripe's mentorship fees Dont forget about my burnt ends from LC's, Army :-)
  23. Is Carman our next starting OLT? a big part of me doesnt want this to happen, but I do want a strong OLine, so I am very conflicted There are already articles about this out there I try to keep in mind that the Bengals adjusted to a very quick release game because of the three backups......I think Carman would have looked a lot worse if they had gone for a more normal medium to long passing game
