its unacceptable to have two Corners both named DJ ok, no, that was a joke. Put the baseball bat away, Mem :-) No objection to the guy, just would have preferred a TE or ORT here, same as two picks back.

Round 6 (217): Brad Robbins, P Michigan

Another pick I noted as a necessary one, and I am hearing he is a hang time and directional punt guy. Sounds like a certain local product who was our Punter for many years :-) Like like like this pick Is this the extra pick we picked up from KC, where I said I hope they use the extra pick on the new Punter we need? -
Round 5 (163): Chase Brown, RB, Illinois

again, please keep in mind that this is all me wanting New Guy protected You were the first here to really fall hard for New Guy, so you should understand this -
Round 4 (131): Charlie Jones, WR Purdue

just my honest impression as I said, I like this pick. Please take note of that. -
Round 6 (206): Andrei Iosivas, WR Princeton

This is a pick that I hate not because I dislike the guy - he's an athletic freak with tons of untapped potential - but they already dipped into WR once and there were (and still are) other more pressing needs to fill so the guy per se is fine......especially as late as this pick is..... -

at this point, I agree that it seems nearly certain they'll bring Wilcox in and retry with TE next year -

wasnt the impression I was left with, but ok in any case, my reaction to this pick is positive, so calm yourself a bit :-) -
Round 5 (163): Chase Brown, RB, Illinois

and yet there are some that pass block this guy apparently wasnt one of them You do understand, given your long-expressed love with New Guy, that I just want him protected, right? I think he'll work on it. thats all I can ask. He had 25 reps on the bench so he has the muscle part good to go -
Round 5 (163): Chase Brown, RB, Illinois

So we knew we needed a RB, and I am glad they waited til late I love the speed I see in the film provided earlier in this thread. 4.43 in a 210 lb back is outstanding He seems in the film to make very good use of blocking ahead of him The fact that he is a plus receiver is huge what I didnt see and really want is the pass protection. everyone said all the right things like he's willing and will work at it and etc.....but bottom line this is a weakness, along with ball security Good value for round 5 but he really really really needs to work on those 2 weak areas C plus-ish pick. Maybe a B minus Oh, also.....on the RAS score, which is quite good.......I've seen several of these now where the agility data isnt listed, and thats the case with this one as well. I dont know any reason why this guy wouldnt have done agility drills. Puzzling. -

bit of a bowling ball type. I mean that in a good way -

well, one of the things I said we could really use immediately - 2023 - is a talented KR/PR I feel like we've been using average guys who could do it but that was about it for years Good pick, even though it isnt a ORT or TE. If he proves to be a plus KR/PR, he is a roster lock I'll be watching this guy closely He looks kinda sad in that reaction to being drafted by us tho Also, noted that the QB we were targeting was taken by the Browns a few picks later....guess we'll have to re-sign Allen after all also noted - the Rapistbergers are really pushing the reset button on their DLine, arent they? -
Round 3 (95): Jordan Battle, S Alabama
TJJackson replied to HoosierCat's topic in Cincinnati Bengals
sorry guys. I hate the pick itself A N D the fact that the tradedown cost us a potential starter at ORT or TE, which are positions of much greater need than S I wish I could get behind this pick but given the double whammy here its not going to happen unless he pulls a Volsen (I detested the Volsen pick last year. DETESTED. I was wrong, and I ate heaping platters of crow later) and shows me the error of my ways I hope he does just that, but I suspect Dax and Scott (and maybe Anderson too, we know next to nothing about him) will keep him mostly bench-bound for defensive snaps as for Lou - if I was a offensive side coach on this team right now, Anarumo would be a curse word right now -
Gimme OT Jaelyn Duncan or TE Will Mallory or TE Noah Whyle in r4 Since they dont seem to be bringing Allen in, they'll need another QB at some point Need to get a punter to replace Chrisman A backup center to replace No-Knees Hill would be good we could most definitely use someone with top notch PR/KR skills. I think this would be the best spot to make an immediate impact on 2023 and of course a RB who can passblock and chip/receive

this guy isnt gonna start except due to injuries to others his best case scenario is s3 behind Dax and Scott -

I dont see S as much of a need right now, personally I could see one in r4 or later where you generally are looking for future (not immediate) starters/contributors But not in r3 -

nfl experience nfl we have what are essentially 3 rookies, since the two from last year barely played or didnt play like all draft picks, I hope for the best, but both the trade and the pick were and are mistakes, as far as I am concerned, especially the trade given who they lost out on immediately after 90 I do hope they use the extra pick they gained on a P, since Chrisman didnt do so well last year -
I really like Chido and CTB.....this guy is faster, yes, and I do like the pick, but I am not sure he's better

we all knew it'd happen sooner or later well, here it is the pick that TJ absolutely detests E L S T I N K O G R A N D E We have plenty of inexperienced safeties on the roster. We picked up 2 of them last year Piss poor decision to drop 5 spots with Wanya Morris (potential starting ORT) and Darnell Washington (potential starting TE) sitting there ripe for the taking Just a gawdawful choice, both the trade down and the pick they made Let us pray they find another Volsen in r4 for either the TE or ORT spots Dear God!!!!!! -
i've been asking this......I see nothing that says he returns kicks or punts does he?
-
I agree on offense specifically, gimme a 3 down TE or a passblocking ORT (and not the overweight guy from OSU)
-
I am guessing the Ohio State fans in the (virtual) room hate this pick, as he is (or was) a Wolverine I dont see anything about him in draft profiles as far as returning kicks or punts, so I guess he simply doesnt do that Id love to see him put on 5-10 pounds of muscle before camp, sounds like he needs it, and he can afford to lose a smidge of speed in exchange
-
So Turner Ok, I asked for some speed, they got me some speed this guy does need a little more lead in his britches tho not bad does he return kicks? punts?
-
Mem just praised me. during a draft, no less someone write down the date and time
