I am surprised Alan George was cut early. He's had a good preseason. I'd love to see him back on the PS.
-
Good riddance indeed a dollar and whatever change I have in my pocket right now on he is picked up by another club within the next 2 weeks (the oogie effect)
-
thats sad to hear I thought he was a team guy

If I had good money to bet, and I don't, I'd put a large sum on the Bengals plucking a NT and/or a DE off Tuesday's waivers The former being more likely than the latter a RB is a minor possibility as well. If Perine is released, it will be very tempting Or perhaps a P.....its like no one wants this job.

I just cant fathom Chase skipping the KC game, which is game 2 this year I think he signs and practices soon. Very soon. Practice has to start soon to get him ready for KC. If he misses the KC game, he just isnt the player I had thought he was, character-wise
-
I am guessing that he isnt returning your calls of late to get more yard work done.......

Any chance we can give some snaps on the R I G H T side to Jaxson Kirkland? see what he can do over there where we are HURTIN' wouldnt hurt to see if he can help over there
-
Jermaine Burton - KR/PR?
-
quick subject change: we play KC in week 2 Jamaar absolute fucking H A T E S Kansas City No way he doesnt play this game which means he has to start practicing soon so he can smoke their asses
-
I know Ill admit that Kirkland has spent almost all of his time playing on the LEFT side, so I'd honestly like him to back up OLT and OLG Im pretty sure gramma's experience is on the right side, tho

Im up on Kirkland, who was OT in College Of course, in doing so, I am recommending yet another player with a strong injury history.
-
who is the swing tackle with Ford currently starting at ORT, Army? Please dont say Carman. Im gonna check on my dead gramma's availability Hard to believe we are already down to ORT3, but we chose to rely on two players who both have extensive injury histories (and yeah, I know Mims is trying to deny it, but it is what it is no matter what he claims) Need to get this ORT situation corrected someday Someday I been begging for it for years now
-
Trent Brown left practice today with a back injury Yep, when you rely on players with injury history to start, you need a very durable backup Your new starting ORT is Cody Ford, who is a liability

with ground beef hitting 5 dollars a pound or more, best you start liking the helper without the hamburger

We've had a ton of injuries at DT, and Tart is available https://www.si.com/nfl/bengals/news/miami-dolphins-releasing-teair-tart-will-cincinnati-bengals-be-interested-01j5615spcm5

Volson is solid It is starting to look like Matt Lee is a steal, albeit it is waaaaaaaay early to make a final judgement there. Injury history (and the directly resulting lack of game experience) was the only reason I did not want Mims in r1. Aside from that, I like everything about the guy, and he has looked like a starter in camp. Works hard, nose to the grindstone type, seems like a genuinely good locker room guy, and gifted in size and athleticism. He probably would have gone in the top 10 picks if it werent for his injury history, which is now biting us in the ass The player we could have taken instead had his own injury history concerns, and is also injured and will (same as Mims) miss the rest of the preseason https://www.si.com/nfl/steelers/news/pittsburgh-steelers-good-news-troy-fautanu-knee-injury-preseason That said, we need to keep trying to draft quality linemen in here, or we will break the bank paying for our OL

A lot of media outlets are talking about how bad Jake Browning looked I saw it another way.....Browning was being given 4th to 7th stringers to work with Those folks usually dont play until 4th quarter when QB3 came out, suddenly he had the likes of Jermaine Burton to work with......basically, in the late 3rd/and 4th quarters, thats when the second stringers mostly were out on the field What I am more used to is that as time goes by in a preseason game, the players are progressively lower on the depth chart, but thats not how they played it against Tampa Bay. Then went 1s to 4-7s then back to 2s and 3s Weird

"the best ability is availability" Dave Lapham unfortunately, the next man up at ORT is also frequently injured, and just came off an injury I am hoping one of the other tackles not named Carmen steps it up
-
I Think Matt Lee lee-pfrogs no knees Hill for backup OC spot Looks like he handled his guy on every snap, but then also look at 1 min 26 seconds on this tape, hos he effortlessly jumps to an unchecked insider rusher from the block he was on even better at 2:14 mark
-
10 tackles dude is a UDCFA with the worst RAS I have ever seen I mean, I think my dead gramma can beat that Nonetheless, 10 tackles Burfict 2.0?
-
Carmen is a B U S T Meanwhile, the players we shoulda woulda coulda have taken - either Teven Jenkins or Sam Cosmi - are outstanding players but then again, the Carmen praise is coming from the village idiot of this board
-
Didnt see Ossai He's not on the box score at all anyone know whats up with him?
-
agreed that said, someone said earlier maybe he is just trying to get off this team.....I think that happens regardless, honestly, and if he were smart he'd be considering his preseason tape as his audition tape for his next team. Ie he should be giving it his best I am sure thats what his agent is telling him whether he listens to his agent or not is another matter entirely
