Chargers to hire Mike McDaniel as Offensive Coordinator. Props to them. They're willing to open their wallets and pay an Offensive Coordinator more than the Bengals pay their Head Coach. They're trying not to waste any more of Justin Herbert's years. Brown family take note...
-
Cant remember a year where the playoff QB play has been so bad? So many turnovers by everybody.
-
100% Unfortunately

Burrow did that, Zac was along for the ride. Taylor is 9-28 (.243) without Burrow. Burrow is a Leader and Winner, who has taken his teams to Championship games AT EVERY LEVEL. He is HIM. High School state championship game, College National Championship and NFL Championship (SuperBowl). Yes, he likes Zac Taylor, but he (and the fans) deserve better. If you have faith in a guy with No Juice like Zac Taylor to change things, fine. I don't. I wont go along with the "In Marvin We Trust" all over again.
-
So then, what does Zac Taylor bring to the table? I'm not talking about being perfect, i'm talking about qualified. From day 1, he never was. Guaranteed if he gets fired, he wont even be able to get a OC position. May have to go to College or maybe a positional coach in the NFL.

As long as Zac Taylor keeps working for peanuts, he'll have a job. The Brown know they have to spend a certain amount of the cap on Salaries, so the way they pocket more money is, pay a Head Coach $4 million instead of the $12-$18 million Top Coaches get, Dont hire expensive Coordinators, keep the scouting department the smallest in the league, limit player perks, and not pay a GM Salary and just have your Director of Player Personnel do the job. That's at least an extra $15-20 Million a year in "profits"
-
Bengals could have made it a clean sweep for the AFC North if they just fired Zac Taylor. Shittiest Coach is the only one still with a job.
-
And all 3 of Herbert's playoff losses have come to 2nd year QB's. Trevor Lawrence, CJ Stroud and Drake Maye were all in their 2nd NFL Season when they beat the Chargers in the Playoffs.
-
True. The idiot Brown/Blackburn family need to rationalize things. Like, they're paying Evan MacPherson more than Zac Taylor. Who's more critical to success? They can get a top coach for somewhere between BJ Hill and Orlando Brown money. That coach would have more of an impact than either of those 2 players. But, they'll just keep it status quo and count their money.
-
So...Zac Taylor's record with the Bengals is 52-63-1 and he keeps his job. Kevin Stefanski's record was not much worse at 45-58 with a much less talented team, gets fired by the Browns. Never thought I'd say this but, Bengals could learn from the Browns.
-
Executives and Head Coach remain intact, but they have fired 6 Peanut vendors for poor sales. That free agency money has to come from somewhere. The irony is, Peanuts is also what the Bengals pay in terms of Guaranteed money on contracts.

If (fingers crossed) Caleb Downs slides to 10 (or wherever Bengals draft) even these idiots won't pass up a Stud at a clear position of need. That said, if Downs is no longer in the board, yes, Tobin and company will screw up the pick. I just want to draft high enough to have a chance at Downs, so they don't end up reaching for another f'n DE who can't get to the QB.

Draft slot protected. Thank you Defense

Way to protect our draft slot

Well, Burrow always wants to play (he's a competitor) and Zac Taylor is looking to save his job, so...Burrow plays, Bengals win, and they pick outside the Top 10. Which means risky pick with shitty scouting department/immitation GM
-
Just called Dionne Warwick's Psychic friends Hotline and they predicted that the Bengals will go 11-6 next season, give Zac Taylor an extension, and then proceed to go 8-9/9-8 in 2027 & 2028. Everybody screams fire Zac Taylor, but they wont because he will have multiple years left on his contract. I just wasted $15 on that call for something I already knew was going to happen.
-
My fear is Bengals brilliant "GM" and Ownership will now claim draft victory, and think that Myles Murphy and Shemar Stewart are ready to start next season and will lowball Ossai and let Hendrickson walk. ***Hoping somehow Caleb Downs slips to #10

Cody Ford averaging 21 yards per reception!
