  1. I wouldn’t bet the farm on that HC!
  2. That’s what I heard him say about you AB!!
  3. Harbaugh’s biggest problem this year was the terrible way he handled Derrick Henry! Not sure WHAT the beef was, but SOMETHING was amiss between those 2 and it cost him the playoffs, not to mention his job! He just signed a 3 year extension in March so WHATEVER pissed off management, it was something that happened THIS season! As far as him becoming the Bengals HC, I know this is a place for us couch coaches to give our rants and opinions, but I’m not going to say what the franchise SHOULD do, just play the hand we’re dealt like we have since 1991.
  4. INDEED! OL went from the bottom 3 to tied at #9! It DOES show that the franchise IS capable of fixing things and the ‘experience’ of the young defense started some cohesion as they averaged giving up only 17+ points a game in the last 8 games. Give Golden a chance and see what plays out next year!
  5. I haven’t followed the Texans very much until Stroud came along. I have no clue how the franchise runs and attitudes and philosophies up the food chain. My interest/attraction was Stroud and Mixon! I would certainly have liked to see the Bengals have that Texan defense!! I hope they whoop the Stealers!
  6. A great point, with just one correction IMHO, overall a worse team except for their defense! Would have loved to have had the Browns defense last year!! None of that matters because MB is going to coast along until his time is up and it’s a crap shoot as far as IF things will change AFTER that happens?!? I say not much! Revenue had been very good the Brown family!!
  7. Let it go AB!!! Get your Texans gear on standby, get in front of the tube with JR, a week from tonight, and root to kill 2 birds with one stone!! God willing, seeing the ‘second best’ scenario, with the Texans getting another playoff win by eliminating the Stealers!
  8. It’s what they do best!!
  9. 2021 3 playoff wins!
  10. TBH HC, going on the historic franchise track record I don’t think it makes a bit of difference what ‘spot’ they draft in, however if we want to remain fans, it’s one of the few hopes of threads that we have!
  11. Yadda, yadda, yadda! It’s the remaining Brown family! Chuck Knoll couldn’t have won with this franchise!!
  12. You can’t fire who IS the ‘cause’ so it makes no difference WHO’S the HC! Forrest Gregg OR Sam Wyche couldn’t have kept an injury prone QB on the field or coach the horseless carriage defense! So we just vent anyway because it’s the forums and that’s what we’re supposed to do?!?
  13. Just turned on TV after a great Christmas! I was going to watch a movie on Prime Video and saw the Broncos/Chiefs game was streaming! Watched the Broncos score go ahead TD and then watched a series with the Chiefs! The Broncos defense put on a tackling exhibition! Amazing how stifled the offense can be when tackles are not missed and made immediately!
  14. It’s the Brown family! Burrow likes Zac and they will never fire him!
  15. To each his own! I’ve disliked the Steelers since Bradshaw and the 70s long before the Ravens were around!
  16. The tackling has been an issue off and on with the Bengals, not as much with Zimmer, because he was no nonsense! Now I know guys are going to get juked like on Chase Browns first pass TD. I don’t think Ronnie Lott could have made THAT tackle, but the Bengals miss too many standard tackles trying to arm tackle! It’s especially a mystery and frustrating when watching the OSU/Indiana game where standard tackles were being made from start to finish by BOTH teams!!
  17. Not sure the Browns/Blackburns see it that way, but I could be wrong! My guess on their philosophy is, “We are paying them, so keep them on the field and let them earn their over inflated salaries!”
  18. I think the key, and my point is, what you alluded to when you said, “All things being equal, I’d take Burrow over any of them!” I don’t think there are very many teams that wouldn’t agree! However, so far, sadly, that’s not the way it is . . . (so far). Hopefully, the next few years will be different. Yes, it’s one thing AND expected for guys to get hurt and be out a few games in a season but when guys go down for most of the season, it makes other teams gun shy to take that chance on them, which is sadly what happened to Eifert. My cousin is a Vikings fan and he agreed with the behind scenes decision (money/contracts) when the Vikings let Darnold walk, after a 14-3 season, and signed McCarthy. After 2 years of injuries with McCarthy, and seeing where Darnold is with Seattle, he’s hoping it’s not going to be a choice the Vikings made, that they’ll end up regretting!
  19. On a sidebar, I hope the Lions win today and the Ravens win out! I dislike the Steelers more than the Ravens.
  20. The draft is really the ONE silver lining with this franchise, and even that is truly a ‘crap shoot’! Just get the best draft spot possible and hope that management makes good team improvement choices!
  21. Any and all coaching firing will happen either right BEFORE or right AFTER the cows come home!
  22. It’s been like this ESPECIALLY since PB died! Frustrating! Yes, but after this many years you kind of get used to it!
  23. Do you think Tyler Eifert was injury prone or just bad luck? I see no difference, in that injury situation between him and Burrow.
  24. I know you rarely read complete posts when they come from someone you don’t like, but MY point was the clip I posted from Chris Broussard, implying that there are several teams, that are in decent shape and have good QBs, that wouldn’t take a chance on Burrow BECAUSE of him being injury prone! I agree and he couldn’t go WHEREVER he wanted to! THEIR guys, like Herbert, Williams, Goff, Love, Nix, Maye, Stroud, Lawrence, aren’t nearly as good as Burrow, but they are ON the grand a lot more durable than Burrow!
