  1. No way we head into the season trying to get back to the Super Bowl with this guy, Williams and Evans. Mixon will be back for 2023. Oh… this is a great pick.
  2. Yep punter. Good? If they like him, I like him. Don’t know much about him.
  3. “Strong and Explosive” Has he played Tight End ??
  4. Kuntz is considered one of the BPA at this point. Why not take a shot here? It’s the 6th round and not where teams typically find starters anyway. If not him, get the punter they like best.
  5. Didn’t see Kuntz at first. Yes to him !!
  6. WR AT Perry CB Eli Ricks DE Ali Gaye OLB/DE Andre Carter OG Andrew Vorhees (Injury) P Adam Korsak
  7. Made that comment earlier today about how much I love that they have added a lot of speed. Good stuff for sure !!
  8. I don’t see this pick resulting in Mixon’s release. Of course I could be wrong.
  9. Still some really solid players to be had here in the 5th round.
  10. Again, great pick. Really. This excites me for the offense moving forward.
  11. Alluded to a TB replacement earlier. 110 receptions for over 1300 yards and possesses 4.3 speed ?? Yes please, another great luck with return skills. Loving their planning and focus on speed. This pick gets another A from me.
  12. Dax Hill has more starts in his rookie season while playing behind Bates and Bell than Nick Scott had in his first 3 seasons playing behind no one. Those two starts aside, he’s still a question mark. If he wasn’t, I might agree more TJ. Scott didn’t start more than 1 game in a season until last year. He’s a starting safety with a whooping 9 passes defenses in 4 years. Tycen Anderson is more than free safety type, came off a rookie season injury which saw him get not one snap. Can’t see him being a part of any argument which would keep Battle off the field. Then there’s the injury aspect. Who else is there in the stable should someone go down? Who would we get in the late 4th or later which would present the same starting level capabilities as Battle? I get missing out on other potential players but I never thought much of Dewand Jones early and while I loved Darnell Washington, the report is that his knees are a big question mark.
  13. Lou A. doesn’t strike me as the kind of guy to not put the guy who gives us the best shit at winning on the field. I think Battle will be given every opportunity to compete now. Not knowing 100% what Hill is going to bring is also something to watch.
  14. If they are thinking TE, I’m sti good with Will Mallory from Miami, who had the fastest 40 at the Combine. There are still a few RB’s I wouldn’t complain about either. Not that we need a LB, but Noah Sowell was once thought to be a top end prospect and he’s still on the board as well. ESPN has Andre Carter listed as an OLB, but he played DE at Army his whole career. I like his upside. Surprisingly, there are still some decent OT prospects there as well. The amount of WR talent still in the board come day three is staggering. Chance to find a younger, faster TB, as much as that pains me to say. AT Perry still there is crazy. Obviously, Dorian Thompson-Robinson is a QB I would readily welcome to the Jungle !! Can’t wait to see how this shakes out today !!
  15. This. Very much this Mem. I had/have no issue with the pick or the logic behind it. Probably need to bump my grade to be honest. I too overlooked the need here and glad they were able to address this with such a solid pick.
  16. Hate the pick? No, not at all. I think Battle is a solid safety prospect and think some added insurance was a needed aspect. That being said, I am not a fan of the trade with Kansas City. I don’t want to give them 1 spot, let alone 5. Really irked me. Next, while I was never a huge fan of Dewand Jones, I was a big fan of Darnell Washington at TE and am pissed he went to the Steelers. He’s like adding both a TE and another O-lineman in a single pick. I can’t say Morris was any better then what we currently have trying out for RT, but that was his natural position in college. Happy about Battle, while simultaneously not pleased overall. Also heard rumors Washington may have had some knee concerns at the combine so maybe that played into it. Maybe they take TE later. I give this one a solid B+.
  17. Holy cow does this Buckeye fan LOVE this pick. Not much more you could ask for in the 2nd when looking for a future starting outside corner. Considering injuries to others, his days of starting may come sooner. There are some ancillary aspects of this pick I love as well. Along with the fact he’s simply a really good CB, he was Dax Hill’s running mate in Michigan. That allows for familiarity and a level of comfort between those two as they grow into starters in this defense. Really pleased with this pick… A+
  18. What's not to like about the 1st round leftovers ?? It's like cold pizza after a rough night of drinking this year !! I honestly would have no issue with a trade up to get the player they really want. Any of these TE's still left over (Mayer, Musgrave, Washington, LaPorta, Kraft) Joey Porter Jr., Tyrique Stevenson, Ringo or Dax Hill's Michigan running mate DJ Turner at CB wouldn't bother me. RT Dawand Jones for the RT spot, OT Bergeron from Syracuse, OG's Torrence and Avila are all in play. Hell, even LB Trenton Simpson from Clemson is a fun prospect to consider. (Not that I want him over others) Headed down to the Bengals draft party tonight. Will let you know how that goes !! WHODEY !!!
  19. I would say 4.4 is amazing. Because a guy that big running a 4.5 is ridiculous already. I remember the days going back where when a WR or CB ran a 4.4 it was considered "elite" in that category. Love that added speed element he brings when considering the likes of Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson and other QB with legs. Can't wait to see him in the rotation and see if they add him much in the 3T role.
  20. The injury history is concerning and he's working on the last year of his rookie deal. What about his next contract? I guess we could worry about that next year, but that's only adding to the list needing to be done. If we were to do what the article suggests and releasing Mixon, I don't see that as a smart approach. Swift is not a dependable player at this point.
  21. Hey everyone, long week of work in DC and ended up being a late night of traveling. I missed watching the whole first round for the first time in a very ling time. So to start, early on in the draft, I thought looking at getting more pass rush from the interior was the best way to go. However, this guy can play both inside and outside with his size and speed. 6'5, 270, with 4.5 speed. I simply always thought, like most mocks showed leading up to the draft, that he would have been long gone. I really like this pick. It checks the box of adding to the pass rush and represents really good value at the bottom of the 1st round. Like I said heading into the draft, when looking at who else was on the board, there were both CB's and TE's that make sense and I would not have complained about. However, pass rush obviously is a higher priority when considering all the QB talent in the AFC. We have to be able to keep getting after them. If I were to incorporate a grade for this selection, it would get an "A" at this point. Again, I quite honestly never gave him much thought because no one thought he was going to go beyond #15. All the guys I was hoping would be there were gone. OT Darnell Wright, DT Calijah Kancey, and RB Jahmyr Gibbs Great get for the Bengals !!
  22. If Kancey is there, I want him to be the pick. However, I will understand if he’s not and won’t blow a fuse. There are plenty of other players that will make me happy at #28. I like Gibbs as well Mem !!
  23. Yes, my dude Kancey is my hope. I would have no issue with adding Gibbs either. Then again, there are more than a handful of players I could see them taking and would have little concern with. Like I always ask, “Who else was on the board”? That’s what can make or break my pleasure with the selection.
