Kickoff time for the Bengals’ Nov. 20 home game against the Indianapolis Colts has been moved to 4:15 p.m., the NFL announced today. The game originally was scheduled for a 1 p.m. kickoff.

“Kickoff times are occasionally changed to help our network TV partners maximize ratings,” said Greg Aiello, NFL Vice President of Public Relations. “In this case, CBS wanted to take the Bengals-Colts game and move it into the national doubleheader window on Nov. 20. It shapes up as a very attractive game between teams with two of the league’s best records, and this switch will allow it to be shown to as many fans as possible across the country.”

Yeah, the time change is killing me. I am driving up from Memphis for that game, and, the drive back will now be hellacious. Won't get back home until 3 or 4 am with work the next day.

A win would make that all worth it.

Steelers Notebook: Start time of Nov. 20 game against Ravens changed

Tuesday, November 01, 2005

By Ed Bouchette, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

The Ravens' unexpected poor season has prompted officials from the NFL and CBS to pull their game off national television with the Steelers Nov. 20 in Baltimore.

The kickoff, originally set for 4:15 p.m., was moved to 1 p.m. The game will be replaced by one involving another AFC North Division opponent, the Bengals against the unbeaten Colts in Cincinnati. That game will be shown at 4:15 p.m. to most of the nation on CBS.

What a hypocritical move. If they pulled the Pitt/Baltimore game because of the bad season the Ravens are having, then this game should be moved to Monday Night!!! That game is Minnesota/Green Bay. Oh, that's a real big game. What a bunch of crap. While I am happy to see the game time changed and the increased coverage, they didn't go far enough. It should be on Monday Night! The NFL can be such hypocrites!:angry::angry:

The new TV deal they struck that starts next year (and moves Monday games to espn) will allow them to move a limited number of games from Sunday to Monday. But this year they can't.

In any event, if the Bengals keep winning, they'll see more Monday night games regardless.

:bengal: If we playe like we did against pittsburgh we wont get past indy. :( but i think we will get past them because we want this game rally bad.i hoppe we kill them. :bengal::sure:

We won't have another game like we had against Pittsburgh, not even in their house on 12-4. That loss was followed by the media jumping back on the "Bengals aren't good enough" bandwagon, and I know that it has to fire them up the rest of the way.

Unfortunately, I will already be drunk at 3:15 CST, so hopefully this drunk is better than the Jacskonville game drunk that I had.
