So you finnally decided to sit Henry a game. LMAO @ Marvin for actually trying to be tough now. Good call coach! This proves to all you haters that we really need Henry in there and that he's not as replaceable as some might ponder. Chatman....... meh. Washington......mehhhhhh. Henry's a #1 on another team, hands down. If you want to punish him coach fine him, don't sit him a game, f-in stupid!

Maybe Henry will get it through his head now! CH hurt the team yesterday with his bulls**t, not Marvin. If you don't give a coach a reason to disipline you then you wont be disiplined!

What hasn't been mentioned that much is the problem at center. Personally, I think we should put Steiny at center and start Whitworth at LG.

I agree that the Bengals need Chris Henry. He's a great player and makes an impact in every game he plays. But if Marvin feels that fining him won't get the point across that he needs to clean up his act, than this just might. If this action by Marvin helps Henry to realize that abiding simple laws will benefit him and his team, than it will help Henry and the city of Cincinnati in the long run.

I can't believe that you think that winning a football game is more important than the safety of civilians in Cincinnati. Henry has been arrested for DUIs, giving alcohol to minors, you name it. What if Henry hit a member of your family while driving under the influence, then you'd think differently. He's a talented player, but if he is endangering the lives of others by being a fool, then he should be in jail, not playing football.

I think Marvin did the right thing in de-activating him for the game yesterday. Someone has got to do something to get through to this kid and do it before he does wind up in prison, which is where he is headed unless he changes some things in his life and learns to make better choices. Hopefully some "tough love" from Marvin is what will do the trick.

Henry has unbelievable talent, but the guy is throwing it away.

Misplaced anger. If you want to get mad at ML, do it for him presiding over a defense that stinks a lot like his previous three have. Don't get mad at him for trying like hell to get through Chris Henry's skull that he needs to grow up. Chris Henry himself hurt the team yesterday with his actions eight days ago. Not ML.

I am not at all sure I know exactly why I am bothering to reply to your inane comments, but here I am, so onto the points

1) Chris Henry does not as I recall play defense. The same could be said for the rest of our defensive players, but I digress.

2) Chris Henry does not play on the offensive line, as best as I recall. Maybe you know better?

3) Chris Henry did not fumble center snaps

Keep me posted if Chris Henry ever does any of these things, so I can edit this post, um-kay?

Count me among the fans who are glad that Chris Henry (and less noted: Reggie McNeal) sat inactive for this game. Hopefully, Marvin will impose the fan he is empowered to levy as well

What he said.

And another thing -- if the Patriots have proved anything, it's that with good coaching a team can succeed with "inferior" players at key positions, including WR. I hope Marvin is able to figure out a way to pull a Belichick and get this D turned around.

I think that Marvin now has EVERYBODY's attention.

As long as that includes his own coaches, that would be a good thing. They got whupped in every phase of that game yesterday, including the sidelines.

Where's 85?

That's an excellent point as well....Chad has not been his usual superstar self and that too is hurting the offense...great WRs beat double coverage every now and then, and don't drop multiple passes a game.

Yes, he was productive this week, but not at the elite level he should be. Hopefully, he will focus more on the aspects football that are related to onfield performance and less and less on the purely entertainment aspects.

Chad: we luv ya. But please.....please....spend more time on catching passes and watching film and less on figuring out what your next TD celebration will be

Don't know what tjack is talking about??? Defense? what did I say about the defense on this post? It was a stupid decision to sit Henry. Stupid decision to say that we'd be okay without Odell. Way to go Marv!

Are you kidding me? Because of the CBA, there is a limit to what he can do financially. Making Henry stand there in street clothes and watch, is about as tough as he can get. How can he beg these guys to stay out of trouble, but do nothing when they ignore you. Marvin did not let the team down, Henry did. I believe that Henry could have made a difference yesterday, but it is on him, not Marvin.

who do you think is on the chopping block when the team goes 8-8 this year, Henry or Marvin? It s the coaches job to win games. It's okay to screw up once in awhile, I'm not mad at Marvin, just don't think it was a good call. Make him sit a quarter, not the whole game. How bad do you think that made Chris feel not being able to play, watching his team get their ass kicked on offense. Better yet, how do you think he felt after the game? He's paid to play, let him play. If he f**ks up that's on him, but he's a player coach, let him play.... You've got players comitting a lot worse crimes than Henry out there, lighten up. He'll change.

Does Henry play linebacker or OL? If not, he wasn't the problem yesterday.

WR. No one was open and the protection broke down. Henry's a huge target for Palmers checkdowns.

Oh please. Henry was in the Steeler game and Palmer fumbled a few times there too. Henry doesn't solve all those problems. Besides, Henry is more of a down the field threat anyway, not the guy you hit when you have a DE in your face.

Now if you'd said *Perry* would help there, I'd agree.

You're right, lets just let them do whatever they want with no penalty at all. Murder someone, who cares, suit up!

What if you had kids(maybe you do) if they get caught stealing do you let them play with their toys anyway. Henry had no business in that game, and as I've said before, no business in the NFL.

Take the Haynesworth situation yesterday. Do that in the stands and they arrest you. In the parking lot, you're going to jail. But on the football field it's somehow OK to step on a guy's face?

I dont get chad they used to throw to him down the field for the long bomb and i really dont see them going deep to him anymore is there a reason for that. I know Henry is good for the long bomb, but that was chads thing and now he dosnt seem to be doing that much this year i dont know maybe after the bye.

can't fault marvin for this one . henrey should not have even been in the car let alone out drinking . all the s**t he has done this past off-season . henrey i believe is on probation and is not allowed to drink as a condition of his probation . so you can see he still does not care and is very immature he is lucky to still have a job and not be in jail right now . i think henrey may have a drinking problem because alcohol was involved in most of his cases if not all of them . i mean what else can you let him get away with ?

There is one person who needs the blame for Chris Henry sitting ,its Crime Spree Henry himself.

As many times Henry has asked for another chance and then did something dumber than his last stunt.

Ask your self this, what if Henry said, "Odel you only have one week to go on your suspension and this team needs you, lets get a Limo tonight ,my treat"?Or even lets split a taxi?

He wouldnt have been sitting last week.

He wouldnt have people looking into if he broke his probation.

We would be looking forward to Odel playing when we come out of the bye.

I tell you one thing Marvin is tired of his antics,if you heard his most recent press conference,Marvin said that it was nice not wondering what stupid thing the guy was going to do next on the field.

Chris Henry is a 1st round football talent and a undrafted (undraftable)free agent as a human being.

I truly don't think anything of the sitting of Henry... His lack of playing wouldn't have done anything for the o-line problems, the defense's lack of a pass rush, the secondary's inability to tackle, or even Carson fumbling the game away in the 2nd half... Would it ??

That being said, I won't go to the other side and say Marvin was absolutely correct in this either. Why now ?? Just because of the Odell incident ?? Did it really come down to that single event to think this was the best option ?? To tell you the truth, I don't think anything Marvin does is going to change Henry in the near future. If anyone thinks by doing this, Marvin suddenly has a players attention, I would disagree.

I would like to see him get taken out back and get his ass handed to him !!!

I would also like to see him remain on the team as I also belive he's a #1 on other teams. Crazy talent, stupid as a rock !!!

WHODEY !!!
