Bryant coming to Cinci on Tuesday

f**k it, get Bryant AND Marshall.

Chad, Caldwell, Bryant and Marshall.

Simpson - no cap/no cap hit.

Keep Quan for punts and as 5th WR.

Seems simple to me.

I'd love that too Willy, but we all know that signing Bryant means that a Marshall deal absolutely will not happen. Bryant had 30-some catches last year, he is, in my opinion, nowhere near being a solution to our receiving woes.

meh.

they are just kicking tires.

Bryant is no Marhsall.

I don't think one precludes the other.

Him coming to town only means they are being proactive. again, another thing they usually do not do.

I am glad they are being active and in the mix. Gotta have a plan A through plan G.

The Marshall delusions on this board are funny.

Bryant is a perfectly viable candidate to help this team at WR. If something works out, great. After sooooooo much bitching over the weekend for the Bengals to do something, there is now bitching when they do something?

Jeebus.

Meh, maybe it's the fact that he's a former clown, but I'd rather see them sign Kevin Walter than Antonio Bryant. It just feels like his performance has dropped precipitously the last couple of years. That said, if it was the only move, it would be better than nothing and provide some pressure release on the draft. Other than that, meh.

Kevin Walter re-signed with Houston. And if I recall correctly, there was a sizeable group on here that slagged the idea of Walter, so, again, what would make people happy?

I would have been fine with Walter myself, but Bryant has skillz. And the non-clown division of WR in free agency is non-existent. Marshall has sizeable baggage, Bryant has baggage, and Terrell Owens' avatar should be a set of luggage, he has so much baggage.

So, if you need a FA receiver, where to turn?

Guys... If bryant really wants to plat then that guy is a beast... He does not drop passes. He makes spectacular catches. He strong, he is better than coles in almost every way... I dont know if he can block as well as coles, but he is a very good player. The problem is he knows that and he thinks he's too good. So thats why he butts heads with his coaches. We just gotta hope he wants to play and you all will be very happy if we sign this dude. He can be an absolute beast. He had the catch of the year in 08. He's like simpson but he can actually compete on an nfl level

I had always thought that if we signed one receiver, they would consider the problem fixed and close it up. The fact that they're bringing in two of their target receivers in simultaneously is veeery encouraging. I'm truly impressed.

I'm not really excited about Bryant either, but I think we could cut him a little slack for last year as Tampa Bay's offense was just brutal. I don't think he's a top talent, but at least he fits the hole we need to fill.

I'd rather draft a WR in round one or two than bother spending huge money on Bryant though.

Bryant has had injury concerns, but has also been solid when healthy. I wouldn't complain about him either.

I've actually got myself to a point in time where I'd actually find a way to be happy with either, Bryant, T.O., or Marshall. The point ive tried to make and where I am as a fan is, Marshall simply presents the best option to me, so I'd be willing to roll the dice in that direction. If I can't get that, give me Bryant and then T.O....

Again, nothing would make me angry in the situation, I just want to see the team win sooner rather than later and it would appear they are only a few players from doing it sooner. I'm also glad they are finally getting people in for some visits to see what they are looking at.

This fan is pleased...

I agree, to almost the same extent.

I am very pleased to see them working the phones and attempting to improve the team. Cutting Coles was a big message. Coles is well regarded as a player in the league, so when he does not quite work out and is sent packing, I take that to mean this team is serious about improving the talent.

I think they recognize they have some weaknesses and are trying to figure out the best thing to do.

Now, if they get Marshall and sign him to a 3-4 year extension, this team could contend for quite a while, or at least through the heart of Carson's remaining viable time with the Bengals.

I am not as concerned with Leon and JJoe. I think this "I so broke" turning out of pockets when the discussion arises can get turned around should they sign Marshall and run at the SB.

Please, anyone can give me a smack and bring me back to earth. I won't hold it against the 'zone. Dare to dream a March dream.

I don't see Signing Byrant as a Detour from still taking WR high Chad may contract is going to run up...Plus how long can we use byrant 2-3 years? We need get Carson as many weapons as possible.
