jjakq27
http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/art...0324/1067/SPT02If Peter Warrick is healthy, perhaps he could come back, since he is on a one year contract with Seattle. It sounds like he missed ot being here this year even though Seattle is in the Super Bowl.
oldschooler
Didn`t he want out because he didn`t want to be the #3 ?I don`t see how things have changed in that regards...
ShulaSteakhouse
I think he wanted out because he wasn't getting any PT and the Bengals' were just stalling on his release, and the fact they drafted Henry.I really don't know what's wrong with the guy, either he's 100% healthy or he's not, and i have never heard of a hairline fracture in a shin ending someone's career (or an infection in this day and age).Honestly I would absolutely love to have him back here next year if he passed a physical etc..., and could play close or at the level he did in '03. I just don't understand what the problem is exactly with him. With Henry out of the picture now, and Warrick's abilities as a punt returner, can't see why the Bengals' wouldn't consider him at least this offseason.I've just never seen a player disappear and fall off the face of the earth like he has over what is normally a relatively minor injury, at the peak of his playing years.I admit prejudice because he was one of my favorite college players of all-time.I would love to see him bust a nice PR or two in the SB Sunday if he gets a chance, ecspecially against the dastardly Squealers. And if it's just a matter of rest and time before he heals up completely, and regains a full range of motion and strength in his knee/shin, then I hope the Bengals' stay in touch with him - certainly he would come relatively cheap now also. But I'm guessing none of that will actually happen, unfortunately. HoosierCat
There's nothing to see here. Please move along.Pretty much. Between Housh and Walter, the Bengals have the slot covered; their need at wideout now is for a guy who can stretch the field (thank you once again, Chris Henry ).With his knee finally back, Warrick shouldn't lack for offers, tho any big money is unlikely. But the draft being very weak at WR should work to his advantage.I really don't know what's wrong with the guy, either he's 100% healthy or he's not, and i have never heard of a hairline fracture in a shin ending someone's career (or an infection in this day and age).It wasn't the shin, it was the knee. IIRC he had it scoped and then pushed himself to come back early in a bid to win against Baltimore and make the playoffs, but just ended up re-injuring the knee. That second injury reportedly include a mencius team, and an infection got into the heart of the knee via that tear. The infection supposedly did an amount of permanent damade to the knee, not so much limiting motion or use but creating an arthritic condition that would result in swelling and pain on a regular basis. The bottom line was that Warrick could still play at a high level, but the injury was likely to shorten his career; it all depended on what level of pain Peter was willing to play with. WretchedOne
We TRIED to re-work Warricks contract but he didn't budge.Everyone wanted to keep him and they tried. He was fine right before he got cut but we didn't play him cause we would have been forced to pay him millions if he stepped on the field. Wise move if they do bring him back, let him go somewhere else to see if he's healthy and don't incurr any of the $$ problems then bring him back at a decent price. He could come back and be #3 WR and return punts. futurebengal08
Great idea...solves our problem at WR and PR...See if he'll play safety too (joking)But really, I like the idea.
bengalskyspy
He is not a #3 WR on a team that is lacking high quality receivers. Why would we want him? Hell, he couldn't even beat out Kdub.LET IT GO! HE WAS ANOTHER 1ST ROUND BUST FOR THE BENGALS.I am so over it and so is ML.

lando griffin
I don't know why so many of you piece of s**t clowns hate the guy. He never did anything wrong really, he played hurt for us to try and get in the playoffs, he had a freak staph infection that f**ked up his knee, and then he doesn't have anything bad to say about the city, team, etc after getting cut and being with us primarily in the dark years. We cut him to save cap room--plain and simple. He's still a multi-millionaire but s**t, give him a break. I guess I understand your opinions though and where they come from--half of you clowns (i said half, some of you are good guys) are 30 something year old guys who obviously have deadend jobs, ugly wives, or something else chronically wrong with you to justify your slaving over this website everyday making ignorant comments. Tirade finished.

Tirade finished.I don't hate him, but then again, I don't idolize him and covet him like you apparently do. He was a very high first round pick at a skill position. These kinds of guys are supposed to light up the world, not have a good game here and there. That's what 7th round picks are for. In his first season, Warrick had all of 1 game with 10 or more catches. He had only 1 100 yard game. He scored 1 touchdown. That is NOT the play of a top 10 pick, yet alone a top 5 pick.In his second season, Warrick managed 2 7 catch days, and his highest yardage was 86 freaking yards. He had all of 6 touchdowns. Once again, not the play of a top 10 pick, yet alone a top 5 pick in his second year. No more "but he's a rookie" excuse. In his third season, Warrick managed 1 10 catch game, and surprised us with two games with at least 100 yards. He stayed consistent with his previous season, and had a whole 7 TDs. This is beginning to look like a bust to me right here and now. If it wasn't for the big game against KC and a good game against Oakland, we wouldn't even be having this conversation. Everyone would agree he sucked for us.Then, last year, he could only get on the field for a total of 11 catches, no touchdowns, and well, that's it.He's done nothing in Seattle either, so, now that I've told you why some people hate him, please explain why you are hot for him and covet his "skills"? The bottom line was that Warrick could still play at a high level, but the injury was likely to shorten his career; it all depended on what level of pain Peter was willing to play with. Thanks - that makes some sense. Basically he's a constant injury risk and could be unavailable or have problems at any given time - surely not many teams, unless they're desperate or in major need, would really want to deal with that situation I suppose...although with the Bengals' it was more financial than anything.I also believe TJ can stretch the field per se - he has done it in the past - but with Henry there wasn't a lot of need to - people underestimate his speed and size. I've always just liked the dynamic Warrick brings to an offense, and his PR abilities to boot - not many guys on this team right now that can turn nothing into a big play - other than Chris Perry, and the Bengals' could really use a guy who can run after the catch and make people miss. Just MO. But obviously, at this point, Warrick is a long shot. Hoping he does something Sunday maybe, I still root for the guy.
ArmyBengal
must have deadend jobs, ugly wives, or something else chronically wrong with you to justify your slaving over this website everyday. I'm in the Army, beautiful wife, so I must fall into the "chronically wrong" category... This really doesn't bother me that much, as I have found the solution to that problem... and Anyway, I just don't see Warrick coming back here. I don't honestly want him back either. It has nothing to do with him as a person, because I think he's a good guy, but look at it reasonably, he really didn't do much while he was here and as much as I loved him in the KC game, that can't be the sole purpose to bring him back. I think he would get a huge reception should he come back, but once again, don't see it happening...WHODEY !!!

Tirade finished.Well first off, I am 27 years old. I just got married. Directly below you will see the picture taken last weekend, of my wife and her sister, who I have repeatedly lusted after in my posts. The wifer is the blond.Yes, she is hot, as is my sister in law. I am a lucky SOB.Now, I loved PDub just as much as anyone else. The problem lies in that the guy just does not have what he used to. What, are we supposed to overpay for a guy who can't beat mediocre DB's anymore, just because of loyalty? F that. That's exactly the kind of thing Marvin DOESN'T do. HairOnFire
Wasn't Lando Griffin the guy who went back to high school in search of drugs, sang a too-long and very lame musical number that I had to fast forward past, then pretended to be his own ugly daughters prom date, before riding off into the sunset on a Harley....never to be seen again? I repeat, never to be seen again. Sorry, I'm not sure where I'm going with this one.

jamesbrooks21
Add me to the list of those who would like to see him back. I dont know why but he had me when he said(when talking about the Bengals) "the team that I love," thats right, not loved. I would like to see him back here. He would have to change the I can't be the 3rd reciever thing because he might be 4th or 5th. If he comes cheap I want P-Dub back.

If he comes cheap I want P-Dub back. If I knew I was out of a job next year and was trying to get on with a team, I would say anything to help myself out to. I'm not saying that he's lying, but I'm not just going to buy into the whole thing without thought either. The whole thing with the "I won't be a #3 receiver" really bugged the hell out of me as well. Just like he said though, it's a business. I agree with him coming cheap and liking to see him back, but I'm really not caring to much either...I'm more impressed with the P.K. Sam signing than the possibility of Warrick come back. WHODEY !!!
