vettespd20 Posted January 18, 2006 Report Posted January 18, 2006 Sorry if this is a repost or a topic already discussed (I am sure that it is) but I have been away from my computer for a few weeks not and have not had the chance to get others opinions on this. Did Chad really do what I am hearing? And is Carson going to be ok and back to normal or is his career over with? Quote

If any real bengals fans can help me with this info that would be great thanks a lot and WHO DEY!!!! We've just been hearing about this goofiness all week long, that's all. In all seriousness... Carson's surgery went well and is expected around the beginning of the regular season. Chad's incident was blown way out of proportion, so there is nothing to concern yourself with there. Quote

NJ29 Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 Just as TDB said, in short, the Chad stuff was overblown, and a conspiracy is rumored because the author of the rumor mill was a Steeler fan. It is a ridiculous accusation, but yes, it has been rumored. Carson's surgery went well, and there have been conflicting comments by the operating doctor on the severity of the injury. One day he said it was potentially career ending, and the next day he said that Carson could be back for training camp. It's a crapshoot really, we'll see how his rehab goes. Quote
membengal Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 Indeed, tempers are a bit short around here for a number of reasons but to echo the others:1. CJ stuff overblown, sounds like he got emotional at halftime and had to be calmed down. Profootballtalk reveals itself again as a collection of gaseous douchebags.2. Carson will either be ready for the start of next year or nearly had his leg amputated and is done. Given the craziness and variance of the reports this past week, I am thinking he will be back, but not necessarily in time for the start of the regular season. Which has me real concerned. The next few months and any reports on his rehab that are positive will put me more at ease. The Bengals take a qb on the first day of the draft in April? Well, then, we are all f**ked as fans. Quote

Tasher Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 uh...oh, sorry, since we have been over and over and over this (did I say OVER?) topic, as has everyone else, we got distracted. But it seemed all in good fun.1. CJ fine, read Marv's comments about the situation in the Enq or Post or other source you prefer...2. Palmer: broke knee, doctor fix knee, long rehab between now and later, when later? check back in 200 days (last time i counted, yes, i did manually count calendar days), day 200 ps, thats "post surgery" for those of you shorthand challenged, was July 29.3. i think there is a job posting on this board for someone to video tape every single second on CP offseason rehab, you might apply, then you would know more than we do and would not have to deal with general retardedness. BengalsOwn Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 Did Chad really do what I am hearing? It's possible it wasn't as bad as reported, but there WAS an incident. From what I have heard, John Thornton and his agent are the ones who are telling people about it...John Thornton and the profootballtalk.com guy are in fact "acquaintances"...If you honestly beleive that John Thornton is going around spreading lies, you've got some problems...And is Carson going to be ok and back to normal or is his career over with?I doubt his career is over, and there's a very good chance he will never be back to "normal"...All we can do now is wait and pray, all of these people saying he'll be just fine are nothing but blind homers, because there has been absolutely nothing reported saying that he will. In fact, it was reported that it could be career ending, but due to a "misinterpretation", the doctor changed his statement (probably after the Bengals called him and told him that he could cost them season ticket sales). Can we see if the guy's going to at least be able to walk before declaring that he will be fine and ready for training camp? Quote
