Kirkendall Posted January 10, 2006 Report Posted January 10, 2006 Something's up. I'm guessing it'll be on Homer... Quote

oldschooler Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 No problem. I heard that Palmer is having surgery right now too ! Quote
Kirkendall Posted January 11, 2006 Author Report Posted January 11, 2006 More denials... nothing more. Quote
BengalsMan3203 Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 Chad just laid the rumor to rest.Thank you lord. Quote
kingwilly Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 He is totally de-bunking the PFW report. As usual, PFWeekly a total BS factory. Quote
bengalboomer7 Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 DENY! DENY! DENY!Every decent lawyer knows that' rule #1 Just kiddin, love adding fuel to the fire Quote
oldschooler Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 Hopefully this puts this BS to rest ! CJ loves Cincinnati, Marvin and the Bengals ! It is pathetic that he even has to respond to BS rumors !All it does is give that site free pubilicity ! Quote
Kirkendall Posted January 11, 2006 Author Report Posted January 11, 2006 He's also debunking Dave Lapham who confirmed on Lance's show that he spoke with several players who confirmed the rumors. You know what, I'm believing Chad. Quote
Stripes Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 Sounds like this should be nothing more than a memory by the end of this press conference. Good deal. Quote
clevelandbengal Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 much ado about nothing...thank god Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 Oh something happened (sorry I'll take Lap's word for it and his multiple sources over anything Chad says for God's sakes). But it's not what PFW made it out to be ultimately and sounds like Chad probably got emotional and threw his helmet and started pouting and the coaches and TJ went in and calmed him down etc..., etc...,By having a press conference, all he did was add fuel to the fire though.Regardless, not worried about it if the coaches/Bengals aren't, but it does concern me a bit if the players are tired of his act and leaking it out anonymously behind his back...which, maybe that's all for the better so it keeps him in-line and makes him think about how his tantrums affect his teammates and his image.Nuff said for me. ShulaSteakhouse Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 I tend to concur with Lance's thoughts on this:Tuesday, January 10, 2006Chad's press conference...ouchNeither Marvin or Hue Jackson show up.........why do you think that is?It wasn't held in the Bengals press conference room..........why do you think that is?Chad is rolling dice the fans believe him over the teammates that confirmed it to Dave Lapham.Question to ponder: How would you feel if you were one of the other 52 Bengals that are aware of it happening?Question to ponder: Why would a teammate make up the story?Question to ponder: Why would Lap risk his Bengals legacy and job by lying? How big an imagination would one have to have to "create" that story?I was expecting more out of Chad. Ripper Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 Let it die !Chad's press conference...ouchNeither Marvin or Hue Jackson show up.........why do you think that is?Because he is on his way to Miami. And marvin and hue are probably not wanting to get caught up in BS and add more fuel to the fire. Marvin repeatidly has said that he will not add to stuff like this.It wasn't held in the Bengals press conference room..........why do you think that is?Because it is BS and Chad is doing this all himself. He even told them that he talked with Marvin before doing it and was going to clear the air before he got on a planeHow big an imagination would one have to have to "create" that story?I was expecting more out of Chad.I'd excpect more out of Lance honestly. walshfan Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 I think this story will be put to bed now..Chad has indicated that nothing happened (wink wink) and its over with.I too believe Lap.. Players told him allmost the same as the footballtalk site article...We'll never know the full story so its time to move on.I hope whatever happened that Chad and Marvin find a happy solution to their relationship.... jjakq27 Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 Lap was on WLW with Andy Furman and they both said it would have been more believable if Marvin and Hue Jackson had both been there as a show of solidarity. However Chad said that he didn't need them there since he was the one being accused.what all did Chad say? http://www.bengals.com/news/news.asp?story_id=5014 Quote
walshfan Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 marvin doesnt want all the bad pub.. he's got enough to worry about. If chad wants to say it didnt happen to squash the whole thing fine.marvin, Hue and chad will work this out one way or another.... Quote
NJ29 Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 Just let it die... It'll blow over. Quote
