The_Next_Big_Thing Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 NICE! Chad, Carson, Deltha, Shayne and Willie all deserve to be in the problow! Tory, Eric, Levi, and Rudi as alternates is a bonus.By the way, what is your source on this information? I thought the roster wasn't going to be released for another 4 hours on ESPN? Quote
DontPushMe Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 Levi shouldnt be an alternate. He should be on the team and Willie should be an alternate, if we are going by play this year.Outside of that though its fine. Nothing unexpected. Quote
AMC Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 Most alternates end up going anyway! All told maybe 7-8 Bengals may be there.... Quote

ShulaSteakhouse Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 Levi shouldnt be an alternate. He should be on the team and Willie should be an alternate, if we are going by play this year.Outside of that though its fine. Nothing unexpected.I disagree, there's a reason he's an alternate - I along with apparently some other folks have noticed the number of bad games he's had this year (including last Sunday). He's an alternate and think that's perfect for him this season - not terrible - but not great nor is he the best LT in the AFC by any means.Willie gets in because of his tenure and the offense in general - when he's healthy he's awesome - but he's played hurt this year a lot and hasn't been himself, ecspecially early on. So I see where you're coming from there any ways. The 0-line has really come on and put it together though for the most part the 2nd half.I think Steinbach deserved a starting spot over Levi - and he will get there some day - the most underrated player on the Bengals' team by it's fans. I really don't understand why everyone thinks Levi is so great, just because he's competent/serviceable and matches up well against smaller, quicker guys at times. Quote
haf5er Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 Quick question...what is the most players the Bengals have sent to Hawaii? Congratulations to all, they have earned it. Quote

ShulaSteakhouse Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 Rudi got dissed if he isn't the next alternate to Tomlinson, James and Johnson.3rd leading rusher in the AFC, 5th over-all, and tied for fifth over-all in TD's (any position). This despite numerous games this year with under 20 carries. He doesn't fumble, and he never gets seriously hurt. (knock on wood)I said this last year - Rudi IS a top 5 running back in the NFL and he proved it once again. The talk of Perry replacing him or Rudi only being average-to-good are nonsensical at this point. Like his style or not - he is what he is - an underrated RB.Of course TJ is the other guy who got dissed. Levi, not so much. Quote

I love watching him run, straight ahead and mean. 3 yards and cloud of dust with him.I think TJ is very valuable to this team, but a pro-bowler, I don't think so. I do think any team in the NFL would take him but I just don't think he is pro bowl material. CJ takes alot of pressure off of him. Quote

Stripes Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 Awesome, that is more than I expected to see on the list. I am glad Shayne is getting a Pro Bowl, I bet we can expect our resident celebrity BengalSIS will be making the trp to Honolulu as well! Quote
bengalindian Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 I think that Odell deserved to get in if Merrimann did. But his time will come. Quote
Stripes Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 Next year we could be in position to have a huge Pro Bowl showing. The offense is likely to send the regulars, and the defense might add its own army. Madieu, Odell, Deltha, and Tory all will have good chances to do it, and even guys like Pollack or Justin Smith could surprise. Quote
Kazkal Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 AlternateTory JamesEric SteinbachLevi Jones -- 2nd alternateRudi JohnsonSo tory, eric and rudi are all 1st alts meaning anyone falls out they go? not bad bengals having 5 probowlers + 3 1st alts and 2nd alt Quote
Stripes Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 So tory, eric and rudi are all 1st alts meaning anyone falls out they go? That is correct. I am not sure on this, but I seem to remember Ty Law being a little banged up, so Tory might be able to sneak in there for a couple plays. Quote
BengalSIS Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 Sis isn't going to Hawaii. But she hopes Shayne has a great time and brings me a shirt Quote
