...Manning is making some terrible throws.

...must be nice to have a D like Pitt's that can get pressure just with its front four.

I think these two are related. Manning has been money when his line has given him more time.

Re: the officals...

almost like someone from the league office reminded them that it is permissible to call an occasional penalty on the Colts.

Really, a delay of game penalty? That's just crazy talk. From being at PBS a week ago Sunday, the play clock is supposed to just be a suggestion for Manning, and if it gets to zero when he is still waddling around like a duck, well, that's ok, because he gets to snap the ball anyway.

Not that I am still bitter or anything.

Fluster Peyton Manning. That's the key to beating the Colts.

Key to beating the Steelers? Kill Ben Roethlisberger.

Key to beating the Steelers? I've said it before and I will continue to say it. Take chances. On D, 8 in the box, and one on one at the corners. Make Ben decide something for a change. On O, throw on first, throw on second, throw on third, but I doubt you will need it. Every once it awhile, go over tackle on second down. Pass to open the run. Cowher doesn't understand it. He would never adapt to it. He can't. He knows one way. If that doesn't work, then he turns to blaming the officials.

I think you're right...however I also think Manning is trying to do too much. Delay of game trying to change the play for the 800th time, the attempt to run a play before the Steelers were set that failed and forced a punt, etc. And there have been a handful of play where it is obvious the Stelers are going to drop a bunch into coverage so just give it to James. He's overthinking; he needs to just settle down and play. Quit worrying about making the perfect call and just make a good one.

BTW ... notice that the Steelers have only 27 yards rushing and do not have the lead? The Colts have forced them into 3rd and long. They got lucky on one such play after getting the ball inside the ten. That's it. Bengals coaches!!!! .... notice this! It's been the case for years!

I am sure the Bengals coaches would love to stuff the run next week... Can the players execute? Hopefully better than they did in week 7.

Colts hold the Steelers here, get the ball back ... score at least 3 ... go into the 4th qtr with a 19 point lead and this game is welll over. One more big stop guys! They are down, now go for the kill!

nice call Cowher!!!!! :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

I believe such a call is known as a "Bratkowski." Term refers to a play call that a coach thinks is so clever it can't fail except that in reality it's so stupid it can't succeed.

That onside kick was one of the stupidest f**king coaching decisions I have ever seen.

Ever.

The Titans did it to Indy last year it was pretty successful. I can't blame 'em for trying.

Sorta like going for it on 4th and 2 with 8:00 left in the 3rd Quarter?

Well, maybe I should wait and see if they make it before I call it stupid.

Going for it on 4th down? This is probably the right decision, but if the Colts stop 'em, that would definitely keep the momentum for the Colts and maybe for the rest of the game.

Wow, their O-line apparently didn't watch the gametape from last week where the Bengals shut down Freeney and Mathis and didn't get flustered. Good job.

I can.

You are no seriously comparing the Texans to the Steelers, are you? That kind of move is a gimmick used by teams that have no chance in games. The Steelers have professed themselves to be the Colts' equals. Guess not.

The Steelers had shut down the Colts all half, with the exception of the opening bomb. They kick it deep, cover it, and try and force another turnover or punt, something they have had good success with. Instead, they risk giving the Colts a short field, which is what happened.

Short field and touchdown.

One of the stupidest things I have ever seen a coach do.

Crowd noise might be a factor but losing your starting LT hurts them badly. Trai Essex, a pick I made lots of fun of on draft day, isn't ready for prime time by a wide margin and there will be no excuse for losing if he has to start against the Bengals.
