robinson doubtful

Um this is not real good either way - also Thorton is a better player than Robinson IMO and more productive so not sure why you would rather have him out.

So if they activate Smith who is his back-up? Freakin Powell?

This team has so little depth at DT and Safety it's not funny now.

Yeah, we are runnin' a bit short on DTs...wonder if this qualifies under Lewis's "emergency situations" in which Stacy Andrews would see some snaps on the d-line.

Hobson did point out that Smith played during the last Balti game. And yeah there will be more of Carl Plowed, no doubt.

I can understand rolling the dice on Askew's upside and letting Moore go but that decision has come back to bite us in the butt just a bit. Not that Moore was all that but at least he could play... <_<

Jonathan Fanene is 6'3" 291lbs... he cant play tackle and Geathers or Powell can? I know he's a rook and untested but he's a strong kid and who knows what he could do...Askew worries me and Smith just seems like he'd wear down quickly.....I suppose Powell will get the snaps at tackle but Id really like to see if Fanene could handle it for a play or two..

Recommendation: Taylor was slated to get more carries this week; we'll see if this changes anything.

I don't think it matters whether or not Chester Taylor is hurt, I don't think they will be able to run the ball either way. Odell has been improving under the radar, and I think he plays well Sunday. I hope Robinson is able to play, though it doesn't look promising. Smith has been good when given the opportunity, but he is a backup for a reason. If he has to start, I'm not worried, but I'd rather have Robinson out there.

Shaun Smith is the best bullrusher on the team and the hardest to move out of the middle vs. the run. Even though he's as big as he is, he has shown he can stunt well for his size and pressure the QB on the rush off of it.

How long he can go is another question.

The best I can say about Askew is he looked better this pre-season than he did the pre-season from the year before. It's really not time now to learn the hard way whether or not he can do the job well enough, but he is a DT after all and not a safety or corner where any single gaff could be magnified a 1,000 times. Fanene might be the better choice to find out about anyway.

I'd like to see them rotate Big Duane inside and keep him off the edge, where Pollack should play when Jumpy Jr. goes inside.

If Carl Plowed gets on the field at end or inside this week, it will be too soon.

How immature is fregin Askew? Does the guy suck his thumb or something. If he is to stupid to play cut his ass. As for L.Moore Marvin cut his ass because he had a bad offseason. Dear Lord does Askew breast feed from Marvin. If he cant play because he might get his feeling hurt he might as well go home. Why dont we cut this guy and pick someone up who can play. This guy is healthy and cant play? Homosexual relationship here is what Im thinking.
