Ox
This is especially sweet seeing as how I would've been playing him in my fantasy league today!!!
BengalszoneBilly
I tried to work up a tear for T.O., but alas...no luck. What an ass hat! Thank God we have a guy like Chad Johnson who biggest faults are fines for stunts after touchdowns and making goofy lists. What do you bet he goes to Baltimore now? I hope so! With the crappy QB's they have there, he'll self destuct on that team within a month!T.O. = Totally Oblivious - Too Obstinate - Truly Obtrusive - Teammates Objection - (his) Time (is) Over! HoosierCat
check this from kffl...what a d**k...Eagles | Owens had a Fight with DouglasSun, 6 Nov 2005 06:31:31 -0800Mark Eckel, of the Trenton Times, reports Philadelphia Eagles WR Terrell Owens had a fistfight with former defensive end and current team ambassador Hugh Douglas. The fight occurred in front of several of his teammates. According to one of the sources the Owens-Douglas fight "was like WWE Smackdown." Another source said both men threw at least two punches during the altercation and when it was over Owens challenged QB Donovan McNabb first and then everyone else in the room saying, "You want some. Anyone else want some." The Eagles refused to comment about the situation, other than the statement that revealed Owens' suspension. Owens and Douglas have been at odds since training camp and almost got into an altercation in an elevator at Lehigh University.
AMC
Ah Owens, the pride of UT-Chattanooga....Dang, hate to see players from the Southern Conference do that kinda crap....Leads me to believe no Div-I school touched him because of his 'tude, of course....I remember when he played for the Niners and he questioned Jeff Garcia's sexuality on the radio....at least he got one thing right! bengalboomer7
I saw the same thing. he's inactive but not suspended. The way this disgrace has played out all year, i wouldn't be suprised if he's on the field tonightBTW, just noticed over 2, 000 posts in litlle over a year. Man, i need a hobby
HoosierCat
So whats the story on T.O.? They just said during the game that Andy Reid said that contrary to reports, TO is NOT suspended for tonight. But i cant find anything else about it.Per the CBA u can only suspend a guy for "conduct detrimental" for 4 games max. So they may have decided just to inactivate him for now and then suspend his butt whenever their last 4 games happen to be. But that's just a guess. Touchdown_Bengals!!! has over 2,200 posts since July! Just playin.P.S. TO is a D-bag, and isn't better than Chad because he doesn't care about winning and the team, but just about himself. WhoDey42
So, where do you think TO will be playing next year, if he is playing at all. I don't think anyone will want to have him on their team except maybe Oakland. He's a great player, but we all found out that you can't just ignore all of TO's actions and expect to have a good team. He brings down a team more than he helps anyone. I wouldn't mind seeing him sitting in the stands next season
ShulaSteakhouse
Who knows, he's so immature and bizarre. Just not a likeable person. I actually find his exploits a lot less interesting than ESPN does apparently. I'd rather hear about someone having a breakout season etc..., than his tired macho man baby act. AMC
Love to see him go to ATL...Greg Knapp is the O-Coordinator there...that would be a lovely, shouting down a coach on the sidelines, reunion! He could hang with Ron Mexico....Maybe he cold be like Rick Guatamala or something.... HoosierCat
Per espn, TO is gone for the year. Suspended for the next 3 games and deactivated for every game afterward.http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2216703
ShulaSteakhouse
Doesn't he have to go on waivers? No wonder the union is challenging it. Why not just cut him and hope someone agrees to pick up whatever they can of his salary/bonus etc...,? I'm sure all he'll get is one years deals from here on out until he shows some consisten professionalism for a significant period of time. HoosierCat
He's a vested vet so if he was cut he'd immediately become a UFA. No waivers.I dunno what the union might do. IIRC correctly the Bucs did the same thing with Keyshawn a while back.
HoosierCat
I dunno what the union might do. IIRC correctly the Bucs did the same thing with Keyshawn a while back.It appears the grievance is TO's, not the union's. After reading profootballtalk.com this morning, I think I understand why. Most of the bonus money he got from the Iggles when he signed was in the form of a big ($6 million+) roster bonus in 2004. That's unrecoverable. But he also got a $2.3 million signing bonus, and according to the contract he has to pay back $1.75 million of that if he got suspended for "conduct detrimental" during calender 2005. So I'll bet he's arguing that his comments were taken out of context and that he did all the apologizing the Eagels asked of him, so the subsequent suspension is BS and he shouldn't have to pay back the money. PMThor
Did anyone else catch his "apology" on ESPN just now?Hi'freakin'larious. He came out all downtrodden, acting so innocent, trying to come across as being truly sad for his statements. ESPN announcers ate it up, acting as if it was truly a heartfelt apology. What a bunch of crap. The only reason T.O. is apologizing is because he is taking a huge monstrous hit in the wallet. If he was being paid still, I guarantee he wouldn't be out there apologizing.T.O. might fool some people with this attempt at reconciliation. I am not one of them. I hope and pray that Reid and the whole Eagle organization don't fall for his antics again. T.O is truly gifted athletically, but his ego and mouth are a detriment to all of football. I hope he never plays another game ever.nevermind. Just heard T.O is going to get paid in full. A source from the Eagles just said "They want to just get rid of him". HoosierCat
Amazing what the prospect of being something like $10 million poorer will do to a guy, ain't it?
alleycat
Anyone see the press conference where TO appeared with Drew (it was on total access)? Drew is totally insane. You finally realize that he is the pupeteer behinds TO's antics. He yells at the top of his lungs throughout the interview. He is a media whore and TO has made the mistake of listening to him. I don't let off TO here, but man, what a nut job that agent is. Marvin shold take ahold of Chad and show him the video of that press conference to set him straight.
