Pre Season Bright Spot

With all of the pre season worries, and some of it is valid I think that Rudi looks good to go even though the teams that have been played know that he would be carrying the rock he is still getting his yards. :):) and for all of those that thought that Chris Perry would quickly assume Rudi's job I personally think that will not happen. They will be a great 1-2 punch.

I agree with you. There are definitely some bright spots. Rudi has been running over people. Chris Perry has looked really awesome (I admit I, being a hardcore Buckeyes fan, questioned Coach Lewis's choice to draft him). Odell Thurman has been a terror. He's made a couple of mistakes that I have seen (like the Lambeau Leap in the middle of the field), but he seems to learn from those mistakes and doesn't repeat them. Kevin Walter is another bright spot. He has caught everything thrown at him (which we can't say for some of our other receivers). Hopefully Coach Lewis lights the fire under the rest of the guys' asses, and we get to see the REAL Bengals this weekend against the Colts. We don't necessarily need a win, but we do need a strong, quality game. We need our guys catching the ball, making tackles, covering the receivers, and making no mental mistakes. Of course if we do all that, then we probably should win, right?

I'd add Stacy Andrews to the list. Yeah, he got schooled Friday but he was up against one of the best in the biz. But overall he's coming along nicely.

Bryan Robinson has played well, certainly better than Tony Williams.

Chris Henry has flashed some potential. Washington, obviously, has had a solid camp/preseason.

Preseason bright spot?

The Philadelphia Eagles stomping us into the ground and bringing the team back down to reality. I think that entire game is a blessing in disguise.

It reminds this young team that things aren't going to happen for them simply because everyone says that they will. They're going to have to go out and earn it. Good lesson to lean, and the perfect time for it to happen...before the games really count. I think they'll come out ready to play against Cleveland.

Hey. nobody mentioned our 3rd and 4th string QB's. They are putting points on the board.

they mainly put points on the board because we are facing second to third string defenses. If you put carson or kitna out there, they would tear it up

Please God let Sky be right this time! prayingsmilie5wu.gif

I know he dissed one of the Lords favorite bands, (Van Halen) but he didn't really know you dig "Jump," so please don't hold this against him. Maybe just have him "accidently" scratch one of his Dave Matthews CD's.

I seemed to have missed alot of bright spots, and there are quite a few. It was somewhat refreshing to focus on the the positive instead of the negative and I couldn't agree more with most that the Philly game should serve as a wake up call.

Revised Bright Spots

Rudi Gettin his yards

Perry Catchin dem balls

Kitna Best Backup

Walter catchin everthing

Thurman always around da ball

Pollack Beast

I think a bright spot is that these games don't count

That's the nail hit firmly on the head.

Dim spots

Herring

KK

Levi

Larson

TJ

Carson to Chad combo

Washington

lingering injuries ( Miller, Williams, Tab Perry, warrick and so on..

coaching stafff as a whole...team is lethargic...coaches fault..

Did you ever think that the coaching staff isn't calling plays the same way they will during the regular season? They are using a much reduced playbook, very vanilla offenses and defenses, and testing people. They are looking for certain things from everyone without showing everything to the league. It will be fine.
